The Memphis Grizzlies

arguably have the best post up back to basket scorer in the league in Zach Randolph

arguably the best defensive player in the entire league in Tony Allen

They have size with Gasol who might have the best touch of any 7 footer in the league

Capeable point guard in Mike Conley who is fast enough to cause major problems

Sam Young, OJ Mayo, Shane Battier and Dorrel Aurthor is solid for depth

The way this team played down the stretch run of the season has me thinking this could be a sleeper of a team in the playoffs

Down side is experience, upside is the price at 3/1 vs. the Spurs

Love your thought process here but the Spurs will be too much for these guys unless Memphis plays lights out....I can see them stealing a game or two, but hard for me to not see the Spurs advance. Nice price though

Celtics or Spurs will lose in the first round just based on the lines.

Personally I cant see it but the lines say otherwise.

why wont they win the series?

Memphis took the last 2 head to heads

Spurs had 4 scorers in double figures and still lost by 7 in the last meeting

They OWNED the paint too, No Spurs big scored doube digits while Zebo by himself averaged 22 pts in those 2 meetings

Barring home court and I guess experience, I see Memphis as the better team here.

Maybe Gary Neal goes for 30 again and gives the spurs a boost ,who knows

Grizz 52-29-1 ATS this year if I remember right (too lazy to check). Anyone who has been paying attention knows Memphis is the real deal. If they were in the east conference (where geographically they belong) I might have made them a darkhorse to get to conference finals.
