Minnesota - Rubio and Flynn

They already traded Denver Lawson for Denver 1st round pick next year...

Was Flynn just insurance in the case Rubio doesnt want to sign with them?

thats rumor im hearing now is Rubio headed back to Spain

weird draft for Wolves

Rubio said before the draft that he didn't want to play in Minnesota because his mother thinks it's too cold

Plus he has to personally buy out of his contract there, if he wants to come to the NBA.

Kahn said they could play in the same backcourt like Isaiah and Dumars did. Different basketball world now.

If he drafted Rubio to gain some other assets, he did the right thing. If he REALLY thinks both can play on the same team, he's an idiot. Rubio's value is high enough that he should be able to use that to upgrade other areas.

I think there's a 1% chance both start the season here

any GM that takes a first rounder on a guy who has made it clear that he could go back to Europe should be fired on the spot.

So anytime a player says he isn't going to play somewhere you just pass on him? They acquired an asset and not sure if you have looked at their roster lately they don't have much more than Al Jefferson and now he is coming off a bum knee.

As a T-Wolves fan I think it is a great pick if nothing more than to get more assets. I didn't like anything else in the draft except maybe Curry at 5 or 6. Regardless if he plays in NBA this year or next he will always have the potentional (assuming no serious injury) which will lead a team to trade for him even if he doesn't come here.

So safe to assume (if rumors are accurate) that you are happy T-Wolves had no interest in Rockets alleged proposed trade offer of Brooks and Battier for Rubio (and I am sure some junky contracts to make the dollars work)?

Saw an interview with the TWolves GM.... he said he knew that he would have to wait a year, maybe two.. but Rubio just turned 18, has lots of options. I dont mind the pick... Twolves not competing in the west anytime in the next 3-4 years.
