NBA 1* (507) CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
When Paul Silas arrived as head coach said that he wanted to inject some life into the team and the players, he sure has done that. After an inspiring win against a tired Lakers team I expect them to ride in the positive momentum and to bring it a good effort at Chicago. The Bobcats started the season being a lousy team on the road but they have gotten a whole lot better going 12-4 ATS in their L14 games in a span that includes close games at Atlanta, Boston and Philadelphia with outright wins in Phoenix, Golden State, Chicago and Atlanta, all of them teams with winning records at home. It’s clear they are not the same team on the road. Now they travel to Chicago to face a Bulls team that matches up well with them, proof of that is that Charlotte has won 6 of *** games between these teams, while going a profitable 7-3 ATS with the Bobcats winning the L2 games.
While it’s true that Charlotte will be playing the 2nd of bb but only Jackson and Wallace played barely over 30minutes hence I don’t expect them to be short on the energy department. We also have to consider that while Chicago has had 2full days of rest this is not a good spot for them, they come home after a long road trip (5games, 10days) only to face a team under .500 before having one more game on Thursday against the top record in the NBA San Antonio… this is a game they can easily overlook, it’s also the last game for Charlotte before the break and that’s just another reason to expect a full effort, no one wants to lose before having to wait a week to play again.
This was the 2nd longest trip for Chicago so far, they had a winning road trip back in November where they went 4-3, they came back home to play one game before facing the mighty Celtics and the lost that game by 29, they also lost against this very same team at home before facing Dallas. Consider that they have been priced in this range against Detroit, Minnesota, Indiana, Clippers and Toronto… clearly lesser competition than tonight’s visitor and they have gone 3-2 ATS. After this game it will be 3-3 ATS.
Take the Bobcats
