That's a steal. 5.3mil a year for a solid player.

4 years/52 million, considering the money that's getting tossed around, this seems like a good deal for Miami. Waiters and James Johnson both had career years in their first season playing for the Heat, I'm hoping JJ gets re-signed as well.

13 million a year is a team friendly deal for his numbers lol

Miami may have hit the jackpot. Only issue with him is he gets lazy when he gets paid. He needs to stay hungry

The deal includes a player option, according to the sources.

Gay was slated to make $14.2 million in the final year of his contract with the Kings next season, but he opted out before the June 10 deadline.

This is the type of deal where it either connects or they're trying to move it in a year, no in between

The Celtics trade Avery Bradley and a second round pick to the Pistons for Marcus Morris. I knew they had to move either Bradley, Crowder, or Smart, but Bradley is the guy I wish they could have kept, he's an elite perimeter defender and has turned himself into a solid three point shooter. Not sure who starts at the two for them now, it can't be Smart as he's not a good enough shooter. I understand why Bradley had to go, next year he's a FA and with Danny having to pay IT, there wouldn't have been enough money to keep Bradley as well, so he was the obvious choice to be the odd man out. I know sports is a business, but it still sucks when one of your favorite players gets traded.

Hey Wayne, I recently heard a great story about Bill Russell. Russell was getting ready for a taped interview, the host was Ryen Russillo. As the interview was getting started, Russillo introduced him as "Bill Russell, Hall of Famer." Russell immediately stopped him and said, "When you introduce me, say Bill Russell, Captain of the Celtics, because that honor means more to me." I'm not lying when I say I got goose bumps listening to Russillo tell that story.

Shelvin Mack to the Magic for 2 years. Good signing by them he's highly underrated. They need some strong back court vets on that team.

Yes, I'm a fan of both the Heat and the Celtics. When I was a kid Larry Bird was my idol, I lived and died with those Celtic teams, and down here there wasn't a team to root for, so I became a huge Celtics fan. Once Miami was granted an NBA franchise I became a Heat fan as well. It's hard for me to say which team I'm a bigger fan of, I root for them both equally. BTW, the same thing happened in baseball, the Marlins didn't exist when I was growing up, so I became a Reds fan, then eventually we got a baseball team and I also became a Marlins fan, and to this day I still root for the Reds and the Marlins. Since you're from Philly you didn't have the problem I did, you have teams in all the major sports to root for, growing up in Miami all we had were the Dolphins so I had to find teams from other cities to be a fan of.

I watched most of the game, the kid really struggled to shoot it. Of course nothing can be garnered from one game, but that funky looking shot of his will need some tweaking I think. The one who really impressed me was Brandon Ingram, that kid is going to be special

Harden's progressing toward adding four years onto Houston current deal, an extension that could guarantee him $228M through 2022-23 season.

If OKC kept Harden, Russ, and KD they would have like a 200mil salary lol

The Washington Wizards have matched the Brooklyn Nets' offer for restricted free agent Otto Porter Jr., according to multiple reports.

The Nets and Porter reached an agreement Wednesday on an offer sheet that would pay Porter the maximum of $106 million over four years.
