NBA Friday big card with POD
New York -4 (POD)
New York comes into Minnesota in the middle of a 5 game road trip. So far they are 2-1 most recently beating Detroit in overtime 116-111. New York is going to want revenge on Minnesota for beating them at home 120-107 earlier in the year. The two leading scores for Minnesota that night are gone in Al Jefferson and Rashard McCants. Minnesota has all but packed it in for the year. They did win there last game against Memphis 104-79 but lost the previous 10 before that. In that 10 game losing streak there opponents averaged 108 points per game against them. So it easy to say they have given up defending too. I love New York tonight. They have confidence and everything to play for. Being only a couple of games out of the 8th playoff spot in the east. Minnesota on the other hand have nothing to play for and won't be able to defend the high scoring Knicks. Given the Knicks have not scored below 100 in about 25 straight games and Minnesota's inefficiency to defend expect this one to be high scoring game. Knicks roll Houston -1 Houston comes into Charlotte as winners of 7 out of there last 10 games. With some impressive wins over Denver, Phoenix, Cleveland and Portland. Against Charlotte they have won 6 staight games by an average of 18 points. Before Charlotte's loss at San Antonio the other night they had rattled of 6 straight wins to get into contention for the 8th spot in the playoffs. In those 6 wins only one of those teams had a plus .500 record in Atlanta. The 3 games before the win streak Charlotte had lost 3 straight games to plus .500 teams all by double digits. Meaning Charlotte can beat average teams but when it comes to good team they faulter. Charlotte is glad to be home again after 7 out of there last 9 were on the road. They know every game is crucial if they wanna sneak into the playoffs however Houston is a good team and they will win in a low scoring affair. Philadelphia v Chicago Over 199.5 In the last 5 meetings between these two teams the over has been 4-0 with one push. Philly is a middle of the road offensive team but they have scored over 100 in 5 out of there last 7 games. Most recently putting up 115 against Toronto at home. Chicago could not get anything going in there last game at Orlando and only managed to put up 79. Maybe it was because of the double overtime game they played against Miami 2 nights earlier im not sure. The three previous games Chicago had put up 3 straight games over 110 points. With both teams rested there both gunna look to get out and run and put up alot of shots. I expect a high scoring game once again between there two. Portland v New Jersey Over 195.5 The under has dominated this series going 12-5 in the last 17 meetings. However the over is 3-1 in the last 4 games. Another key stat is that the over is 10-2 in New Jerseys last 12 overall. They have been one of the best offensive teams in the NBA as of late. They have scored over 95 points in each of there last 10 games. Portland has averaged 110 points per game in there last 16 home games. Which surprised me because I don't see Portland as a high scoring team. Given New Jersey's recent high scoring output and Portland's 110 average at home over the last 16 home games. You would expect this one to be high scoring. I could be wrong though. *6 New York -4 *4 Minnesota/New York Over 218 *3 Houston -1 *2 Philly v Chicago Over 199.5 *2 Portland v New Jersey Over 195.5 Adding more later |
