NBA 1* (501) ORLANGO MAGIC @ (502) MIAMI HEAT UNDER 198

This is getting ridiculous. We have two defensive oriented teams than in fact are very good in doing that (both top5 in defensive efficiency and FG% allowed), two below averaged paced teams (Magic 16, Heat 21) who also are among the best rebounders in the league. They allow a combined 188ppg and their games average 195ppg (Magic 194, Heat 196), the total is as high as it gets between these 2 teams as the closest total in the *** games was 199 on December 09 and there’s absolutely no reason to believe this one will go over. We saw their last game go over 198 that’s true, but that was only as a result of a by all means crazy 4th quarter that featured 62points and more than 20 in the last 3minutes of the game. Even counting that game, in the last 10 meetings they have gone under the total as listed in 6 times (counting one 199 result and one overtime) with a grand average of 195ppg. I expect a playoff atmosphere, Orlando has been playing well lately and Miami needs this game desperately if they want to remain in the conversation for east supremacy.

NBA 1* (503) DENVER NUGGETS @ (504) UTAH JAZZ OVER 210

Dos equipos en sendas fases de transición se enfrentan en este jueves por la noche en lo que será de los pocos juegos que tengan en televisión nacional en lo que queda de temporada, especialmente para Utah. En las últimas semanas ambos traspasaron a sus jugadores franquicia y al hacerlo aprovecharon la oportunidad de recibir algo a cambio en lugar de verlos partir como agentes libres y quedarse con las manos vacías (Toronto, Cleveland), de tal forma que aunque carecen de una –súper- estrella cuentan con gran profundidad y talento. Y aparentemente ambos equipos han seguido la misma estrategia ofensiva, correr y correr. Desde que D-Will partió en los juegos de Utah hemos tenido las siguientes anotaciones… 217 (Dallas), 179 (Indiana, en un juego que fue de alto ritmo), 236 (Detroit) y 209 (Boston). De tal forma que el total de hoy ante un equipo conocido por su alto ritmo de juego es más que razonable. Por el lado de Denver hemos tenido a un equipo que si bien sólo ha tenido 1 over en los juegos desde el cambio de Carmelo (el otro fue en tiempo extra) es justo decir que han enfrentado a 4 de los equipos más lentos de la liga en Charlotte, Atlanta, Boston y Portland. Además les ha costado algunos juegos a los nuevos jugadores para entenderse entre sí.

Sin embargo vienen de anotar 120pts y espero un poco más de lo mismo para el día de hoy. Recordemos que estos equipos tienen amplío historial en juegos de alta anotación. Sus últimos 10 juegos han promediado 219pts y solo 2 de ellos estuvieron por debajo de los 216puntos de tal forma que no hay nada que nos haga esperar algo diferente para este encuentro.
