COMMENTS: Jan was a good month! We had 2 series extended to the last game of the series which is normal. I will take a month like this every time!

There is a possibility as we move forward with the season that I will take a careful look at each series as a play or not.

NBA ROAD SYSTEM
FEB SCHEDULE
2012

CHA@POR(2/1),PHO(2/4),BOS(2/7)
MEM@ATL(2/2),OKC(2/3),BOS(2/5)
OKC@GS(2/7),SAC(2/9),UT(2/10)
CHI@NO(2/8),CHA(2/10),BOS(2/12)
LAL@BOS(2/9),NY(2/10),TOR(2/12)
HOU@PHO(2/9),GS(2/12),MEM(2/14)
LAC@PHI(2/10),CHA(2/11),DAL(2/13)

COMMENTS: Today’s play….CHA @ POR (1ST SERIES TO START FEB)

NOTE: My plan is to make some adjustments as we go thru the season by looking at some road teams that we may not play. Usually I play every series that has qualified. I have made adjustments to the system over the last 9 years. My first few years I had list of no play road teams that were considered as road warriors. These teams were consistent of pushing road series to the end. Because this season is different from past years, I am considering between 3 and 5 road teams not to play. This list could change but I am looking at CHI,OKC,DAL and maybe MIA AND LAC. It will also depend on the numbers of the home teams they play. We are probably looking at less than 10 series for the remainder of the season that we may not play .
The first series in question is 2/7 and 2/8. I will update later.

What about if the line exceeded 5 or 6 points....

It seems like I remember that if there was a heavy favorite like tonight with Portland that it would be considered play at your on risk. Is this right?

This is still a great system, we just have to be self discipline enough to just stick to the system plays.....Good Job

He had those over 6 at the half as an optional play.

I think we should just avoid all games that may involve CHA hah, they are atrocious!

I did not include this in the rules this season. See the post with the system explanation. Last season every optional series won.

COMMENTS: Mem road series extends to the 2nd game at Okc tonight for a b2b.
Looking at OKC as a home team….OKC has played 9 home games and has covered at least one half 8 of 9 games and just missed going 9 of 9 by one-half point. OKC covered the 1st half 8 of 9 games and only covered the 2nd half once so the numbers favors a 1st half cover.

NBA ROAD SYSTEM
FEB SCHEDULE
2012

CHA@POR(2/1),PHO(2/4),BOS(2/7)=WIN (1/6)
MEM@ATL(2/2),OKC(2/3),BOS(2/5)=WIN (4/6)
OKC@GS(2/7),SAC(2/9),UT(2/10)=NO PLAY
CHI@NO(2/8),CHA(2/10),BOS(2/12)=NO PLAY
LAL@BOS(2/9),NY(2/10),TOR(2/12)
HOU@PHO(2/9),GS(2/12),MEM(2/14)
LAC@PHI(2/10),CHA(2/11),DAL(2/13)

COMMENTS: I MAY HAVE 3 TO 5 SERIES AS A NO PLAY THIS MONTH!

The next 2 series is a no play . I have been question about the no plays but as mentioned, this season is different and fatigue is very evident on both sides but I still give the edge to the home team. I had no play series in past years so this is nothing new!

Looking at OKC… currently I prefer to avoid this team although the fatigue factor should be a factor with so many road games within a few days.

Looking at Chi…the first 2 games are against two teams that are having a tough time… NO and CHA with Bos to follow. NO has covered at least one half 9 out of the last 10 games but NO is hurting with injuries, the top 3 scorers are out. I was tempted to play this series but decided against it.

This is only my decision but if you prefer to play it…good luck!

And you know by not making these plays the home teams will cover the first half of game one.

The goal this month is to win 20 units and this is still possible with the no plays.
