New rumor Heat looking at Mayo big time

Not sure if this is a cat and mouse play to see what teams may offer but if the bulls take Rose at #1 and the Heat draft Mayo over Beasley I will be sick. Riley has to lay off the pain killers and wine, which he said he has done numorous times. Can't pass on Beasley. I know Wade loves Mayo and the 2 have been working out together. This will come back and bite them big time if they end up doing this. Less than 48 hours and we will find out. Mayo is a good player but this pic would be at #2

I hear what your saying but Beasley is a 20 10 guy IMO instantly and plays solid defense and can shoot. If Rose is gone, he is the best player available at #2, not Mayo, unless they know they can pick up as Elton Brand or a Carlos Boozer the following year, which was brought up, then I can understand the pic, but you can't predict the future and Beasley is the logical and solid pic. Guy is a stud and brings instant offense and defense, which this team needs big time. Just think this is a no brainer.

as for the players.... beasley is a stud... sometimes the numbers he put up were very quiet for some reason...mayo on the other hand is also legit and got a little bit of bad press because he did try to do too much on his own. I don't think its a lock as to who has the better pro career right now, but I would agree with you and lean to Beasley for the pick.

whodi - I am not sure what is going on but it's sure picking up steam that they won't draft Beasley. I just don't get it. It was BEasley and everyone else at one time. What the heck happened?

On another note - can you post me a message in the private forum with your updated email. It was bouncing back (I'll explain in there)

have to go with beasley, he's a guaranteed all-star

i think mayo will be a fine player, but with beasley the heat can add a new dimension to their repertoire

Mayo is NOT the 2nd best player in the draft....whereas Beasley is.

Heat may be looking to trade down as there is a market for Beasley. Heat simply wants an extra body.
