Lol, I can barely remember what happened yesterday let alone what happened in the 05/06 season, but I trust P.V. so I'll agree.

that was the season where arenas was at his prime, playing very similar to how Durant has this season (though he hasn't been great from 3pt range).

This team is just very fundamentally sound, work the ball around and give everyone a chance to score .. very similar makeup to the 05 - 06 Wizards.

Just thought it was eerily similar and wanted to see if anyone else sees it?

PV,

I an avid Wizards fan. The reason they "are similar" and "giving everyone a chance to score." Thats called the 'Princeton' offense. Which the Wizards ran under Eddie Jordan. Scott Brooks is the Thunder coach, and he served under Eddie in Sacramento. So there you go... Brooks is running the offense learned under Eddie Jordan.

Your other hypothesis I do not agree with....

You cannot compare Arenas to Durant. They are two different positions and players. What sets Gilbert apart from Durant is "passion". I dont think Durant has the "it" factor. The I am going to take this game over and win. He's a little more relaxed and just gets it done.

The only other thing the 05/06 Wizards team is similar to OKC is it was the 2nd straight year that the Wizards made a turn around from having a decade of losing. This is only OKCs first year though.

You did not touch on this, but the thing about the Wizards that I loved watching was their depth. I do not think OKC has the same depth.

Eh, in the end... the offense is the same, but logistically... two different teams.

u just said logistically, they ran the same offense, then ended your statement by saying logistically, they are different lol

The logistics of the offense are the same, but the make up of the teams are different.

That is what I meant to say.

I AGREE!!!!!

(I'd say that the Thunder are a bit more of a defensive minded team, though)

Also, I LOVE the thunder tonight. Definately a play for me.
