One nice looking pick!

There a bunch of games that look nice tonight, but I can see them going either way, so I'm not going to play em, and see how I would have done, but there is one pick I like, which I know...seems obvious:

Houston -2 vs New York (2 units)

I know, it looks obvious but I was thinking why the line would be this?

Well, it really should be arould 6 or 8 you would think, but then loss of star power: Yao Ming, and back to back road games: Detroit last night, and then line gets pushed back a couple points.

The thing is, it seems the Rockets play better without Yao, because they don't rely on running their offense so much in the post. On top of that, like they did last night, they might just play a zone defense like they did last night. I guess they think that without Yao, they lose a lot of interior defense, so they will make their opposition a shooting team. I doubt they will do this against the Knicks though, since they score 51 points (65% of their field points) off of jump shots.

One of the big things which I love about betting this game also is that this is the final game of a three game road trip. Houston is 1-1 right now Losing to Indiana and beating Detroit. I think it's a big deal for a team to either come off a road trip 2-1 or 1-2, especially for a playoff contending team. Houston knows what they have to do tonight, and they'll get it done.

Picks that I'm not going to...pick:

New Orleans/Philly Under 194 (especially if Brand gets more minutes)
Milwaukee/Minny Over 206
Milwaukee -3.5

Hum, adding:

Bucks -3.5 (2 units)

I remember someone saying the trend was for teams to cover without their star players, and on top of that Wolves are going to be tired after their last OT game, and it will be their 5th game in 7 days. Also it's in Milwaukee where the Bucks are 13-7, and on the road the T/wolves are 7-14.

Hopefully tired Wolves put up little defense, and also sportsinteraction.com has T/wolves favored 74%-26% betting. I like to bet against the public sometimes.

Good luck!
