I am convinced that this team DOESNT have what it takes to take that next step. They might wipe the floor with the cellar teams but Ive watched them twice now against thier #1 opponent in the west the Lakers, have the lead late into the game and sh1t the bed.
Both home when they were up 87-80 with 2 minutes left and lose after thier key players cant hit ft's or score in the final minutes. It happened again last night with Bynum out they were up the entire 2nd Half and with 2 minutes to go look like deer in headlights. LaMarcus Alldridge is a very good big in this league and an 80% ft shooter, but when it counts against a team like the Lakers he shoots like a 48% ft shooter. Its not all his fault as Roy, Fernandez and Miller all choked hard last night too. I would just caution anyone that thinks this team can make a run at the West and at the NBA title. This team looks great on paper and on the court for 90% of the game but when it counts they are below average and now I believe have been beat mentally aswell after last night.

Still kind of a shame their luck with injuries though. If Oden and Roy had a pair of good knees each I think they would be title contenders as we speak but yes like you said they are a very good team who doesn't seem to want or know how to take the next step.
