## Rookiees Nba Finals Lakers Vs Celtics Game 1 ##

So Many People Waiting For Others To Post Something When Everyone And Their Mother Knows Who They Like.....My Theory Is..." You Think Too Long... You Are Thinking Wrong " Now Today Is Thursdays Opening Game In A Much Anticipated Matchup...so Many Stats And Theories From Past To Present...who Did This To Who Did That....how One Team Has Had It Easy In The Playoffs To The Other Who Had A Difficult Time Making It Here....even The New Acquisionsthat Have Helped Each Team..... You Know What I Say.......SCREW ALL THAT!!!!! Too Much Information Sometimes Can Get You Twisted In Your Own Handicapping And Make Ones Mind Lean One Way Then Second Guess Itself Before Days End.....this Game Imo Needs No Stats, Past Records Against One Another, Or How Each Team Is Hyped From Many Eons Past...im Going Strictly On Intuition And How I Percieve This Final To Play Out.....

These Playoffs Have Been A Homecourt Advantage Dream And I Expect That To Continue Today With The Celtics.... Much Has Been Said To How Crappy They Have Been Playing Their Road Woes And All The Other Blah Blah Blah But This Is At Home Where They Went 45-7 During The Season Averaging 99.5 Ppg While Giving Up 86.9 To The Opposition.... I Will Say That For All The Crap Of What Seemed With These Celtics They Managed To Get Here And Corrected Their Problems By Winning On The Road, Finding A Way To Let Ray Allen Score, And Closing Games.....so Coming In They Have To Be Confident With What They Have Accompished Despite A Horrible Playoffs....many Laker Backers Today Have The Belief That The Lakers Are The Far Superior Team And Should Have Their Way With The Celtics Based On Their Playoff Play....but If You Laker Backers Are Believing That You Might Be In For A Surprise In This Series..... Based On My Playoff View The Lakers Are The Team That Has Had It Easy.....my Quote From My Early Thoughts:

Quote:
let Me Say This Denver Was Too Tired To Play After Beating Themselves To Get Into The Playoffs....the Jazz Were Just Overmatched By Position, The Spurs Well We All Know That With Ginobili Hurt Caused Major Scoring Problems For The Spurs
You Think That The Opening Round To The Nuggets Was Competitive....i Dont Think So ...besides Being On The Road To The Jazz Was It Even Close??? No I Dont Think So....the Spurs???...without Another Scoring Threat You All Saw What Happened....so That Leads Us To Today Their First Real Competitive Game They Have Faced, With It Being On The Road In Front Of An East Coast Crowd That Would Love Nothing More Than A Victory Over The Mvp Of The League And His Lakers To Get The Jump In These Finals...the Celtics Have Had Their Back To Walls Many Times In The Playoffs And They Hae Responded...this Is Another One Of Those Game ...they Will Respond Again!!!!.....i Do Expect The Lakers To Play Ball But Will Come Up Just Short As This Game Will Teeter The Total Line Of 191.5 But Will Go Over The Total With Free Throws Late ....

FINAL SCORE

BOSTON CELTICS 101
L.A. LAKERS 95

7***** BOSTON -2.5
3***** LA/BOS OVER 191.5

**BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE TONIGHT**

Interesting take….A little surprised to hear someone say the Lakers had an easy run to the Finals. Just curious what you think the Celtics run to the Finals was? They played an Atlanta team that barely made it into the playoffs and would have been a 12th seed out of the west, played a Cleveland team that has no players outside Lebron (not a single player that can make an open jump shot), and played a Pistons team that were struggling with the Billups injury. Personally feel this will be Boston’s first competitive game. On the other side of this one, but as always, best of luck!

Totally disagree with your thoughts that the Lakers did not have a tough road to the finals!! The west had almost every playoff team with 50 wins and to beat any of those teams is big!! Because the Lakers disposed of the Nuggets easily does not mean that the Nugs were not a very solid team, probably 3rd best if in the east (about equal to Orlando). To make it out of the west was tough for whoever did it!!

The Celts did have an easy path and made it look very difficult!! Struggled with a sub 500 Atlanta team, struggled with an average Cavs team (who would miss the playoffs in the west) and whose best player struggled big time in the series, and then beat a solid Detroit team.

Boston is a solid team, do not get me wrong, and you may definitely be on the right side tonight, I just don't agree with your thoughts behind it!! GL as usual though Rookie!

I basically just stated the samething at the same time!! Good points! The first 2 opponents of the Celts would not make the playoffs in the west!! Not to mention that the schedule they play (Cavs and ATL) is easier than any team in the west as well, as they play more games against the eastern teams, which is much weaker!!

momentum is built from almost losing rather than easy wins..... imo a little overconfidence might be in store.....you also have to remember that to these easy teams the lake - show was down by double digits in a few of the games and people point to the bench, in which is true for the most part...but you have to put in the fact of denver being tired.... ...but then again this is my opinion

BOL - I hope BOS wins the whole thing, however, your above comment "lakers had it easy, lakers won as they should" is WAY off base.

Any team could have came out of the West, I think you have been watching the nba finals from 10years ago.

Ya Rookie! Lakers advanced as they should?? The top 4 teams in the west were separated by 2 games, and all were playing 1st round opponents with 50+ wins!! Anyone could have come out of the west. Boston had a tougher time against weaker competition!! Much weaker!! Boston has been good at home all year and has played the western teams very good, hence why they have a 50-50 shot at winning this, but the Lakers are not over confident, and did not have an easy time getting here!! The west was as stacked as it has ever been!!

look everyone let me rephrase my thoughts....when i said the lakers have had it easy.....my take is the lakers are the best team out in the west yet for the playoffs they really looked far superior than the other teams DUE TO THE REASONS I HAVE SAID ABOVE.....when i say the celtics have had it easy and that they had to earn it...meaning they played horrible teams (hawks cle) and were pushed by them yet they earned the win when it counted and when it was win or go home.... another way to look at it is like how in baseball a team just plays just enough to make the playoffs and then responds when it counts...... nevertheless this is my opinion and i wish all you laker backers the best of luck tonight...im playing the celtics tonight based on the momentum and how they have responded to being at home...simple as that!!!
