Question Should season awards include postseason?

If it did

Rose wouldn't be MVP. Lebron would

Thibedeau - would he be coach of the year? Or would it be Carlisle or even Spoelstra? Remember when Carlisle called his team soft? It lit a fire under their ass. Remember when Spoelstra was fired after 9-8 or the bump?

Forman for sure would not share Executive of the Year. Boozer doesn't even play in 4th, Korver can't make a shot. What did he do besides watch Rose explode in to a superstar?

So should awards only include regular season?

i actually dont have an answer for this. I could go either way.

The MVP award is always BS to me anyways. Guy who wins it rarely deserves it. I probably wouldve ha Rose 3rd or 4th on my ballot

If it did, I would not even say Lebron is MVP yet. Still the finals to play and you see what happened to the perception of Rose in just that one series. If it was still up in the air, Lebron is definietly the leading candidate, but Dirk would have a shot if he continued to do what he has done and Lebron had a bad series. I probably still give Thibdeau the coach of the year award, they did make the conference finals and the improvement of the team was great.

Donnie Nelsen has done as good as anyone as a GM with the team he has put together and you do not even here his name mentioned. tyson Chandler signing was huge, getting peja for nothing, etc.

The problem with having post season count, is that we forget about the regular season. The playoff play and stats outweigh anything that happened during the season, because lets face it, it is all about the ring and if one player carries his team to the title they would get it majority of the time assuming that player had a good season.
