Hey all..this is my big bounce back. Since there won't be any football until superbowl...I'm at it again at NBA. Started really strong...as I was up 30 units in 2 weeks..but playing dumb and loose cost me all those 30 units plus a couple units more. Got a little carried away. Either way, I'm back at it for tomorrow. I won't be keeping a record I don't think as I found it to be a hassle. For now I have 3 plays that I really like. Made some money today on some football props (Thank you Fitzgerald, Westbrook and Mcnabb) so I'll be going a little heavy today to enjoy MLK day! (Although I usually play large plays..otherwise where's the fun :P ).

First game: You guessed it. The Lakers! I always pick my spot with the Lakeshow as I don't like betting for them or against them (although its very fun to bet against them when they are favored against bad teams by 12-15 points because they always keep those games close). Was waiting for this line to come out for a while and I was willing to jump on it as long as it was under -5. Was hoping that the Lakers would be underdogs so I could put the house on it, but I knew there would be no chance.

Either way; After the Lakers lost to the Orlando MAgic at home, I felt like punching the dry wall. Fortunately, it bodes well for this game. Lakers have an act for bouncing back and I don't see them losing 3 in a row. They have had a nice 2 days off, and even though they are hurting injury wise they will be ready for this game. Kobe Bryant and Trevor Ariza are going to make it hard for Lebron to score so I doubt King James will go off. He's going to shoot the jumper a lot to try to prove that a) he has one and b) I can do whatever you can Kobe. Nationally televised game, with two of the biggest superstars in the NBA. Luckily, Lebron really has no jumpshot so I doubt he's going to be on fire. Also, Cavs play very good defense and that's how they win the majority of their games. Unfortunately, offensively the Lakers are unstoppable. They know how to score whenever they want. Cav's won't be able to stop the Lakers scoring wise tomorrow.

Here is the issue for this game if you're on the Lakers: The Laker defense is god awful. I mean it makes me sick when I have to watch them play the so-called Defense they play. Cav's as good as they are, win off their defense. Sometimes however their offense can be stagnant. It's going to be a tough road game with lots of energy and the Lakers will come out to play some Defense. Even a little bit of defense will go a long way for the Lakers to win this game, as the Cav's stagnant offense on the road at times will probably benefit the Lakers. The Cav's also play half court offense more than the full court game which bodes well for the Lakers.

Toronto Raptors @ Atlanta Hawks

Ahh yes the Raptors. A team that is in search for what the hell is missing. A pretty talented team with a so called superstar in Bosh, and a bunch of role players that do their job darn well. Unfortunately...this Raps team is in trouble tomorrow against a fast Atlanta Hawks team. The home team will be ready to run out the gate, and since the Raptors played today against a tough Phoenix team, they will be slow and won't have any energy to contend with the Hawks. I love picking on the Raptors when they are in bad spots, and this one right here is a VERY BAD spot for the Raptors.

Phoenix Suns @ Boston Celtics

I hate the Suns, and I hate the Celtics. The Celtics are getting some love from Vegas after their recent 4 game win stream. Giving the Suns 8 points is a lot. Boston coming off some rest will be ready for this game. However...Phoenix playing on the 2nd night of a back 2 back will be able to hang in their with the C's. Shaq usually sits out the 2nd night of back 2 backs, and even though he might not today against Boston, I really don't care. With Shaq they run a good half court offense and will give fits to Perkins who will probably foul out, as well as Powe. They just don't have the size to compete with him. IF the Suns don't play Shaq, that is fine by me as well. This is because they will turn it into a quick full-court game and that's what the Suns used to do best. I have faith in the Suns that they will keep it close and that they might even pull out a win.

Well it was a tough day..

Atlanta not putting the Raps away properly and the Suns just choking. Luckily the Lakers came through..

Overall +3.5 units on the day. I'll take it!
