Snipes NBA Wednesday - 30* banger again

No fooling around today. I've been successful this year in the NBA playoffs thanks to the Denver Nuggets (+25 units) as I hit my first big playoff play of the year. I've been eying the line for this game ever since it came out. I saw it at -6 and couldn't believe it. I'm not sure what Vegas is thinking here to be honest. This will probably be a heavily public bet, but I could care less. The line is down to -5.5 at pinnacle, and I jumped on it big.

Nuggets are just too darn good at home and the Hornets are just too darn weak on the road. I watched the Hornets closely at the end of the year, and boy are they weak. They don't belong in the same league as the Nuggets.

CP3 and David West are the only outs for the Hornets. Problem is, Billups is superman in the playoffs. He neutralizes Paul which is HUGE. I don't expect Billups to hit 8 threes or drop 36 and 12, but he will continue to have big games. I predicted that in game 1 he would go off and luckily he went off.

Obviously he won't be dropping 36 and 12 (although I hope), but keep in mind Melo was non-existent. That probably won't happen again.

Add in the fact that you got Chris Anderson, Nene, Martin and Balkman against a weak front line of the Hornets. That's the biggest advantage the Nuggets have, the big men. Hornets have no answer inside, or for billups. Cp3's overrated defense is exposed.

Nuggets win again 10+...game 1 was no fluke.

*30 - Denver Nuggets - 5.5

Looking to hit another big play...let's do it.

***********************

Another game I like is the Atlanta Hawks. Another WTF VEGAS? You're giving me the Hawks at -5, and i'll buy the .5 and take it at -4.5. Again, that game 1 win was no fluke. Atlanta gets up for BIG games especially at home. Miami, has no had barely any tough games this year. They were too irrelevant to go to a tough atmosphere. Yes, they played in Cleveland where the crowd was a little amped, but that's nothing. Playing in Atlanta during the playoffs when it matters? The crowd in Atlanta is off the hook. That arena is crazy, and Atlanta knows what it takes to win in the playoffs. Miami...well they don't.

You have Wade...Haslem..and that's where your playoff experience ends. Too many young guys on that team that aren't used to the tough atmosphere and it doesn't help when you get smacked in Atlanta.

Atlanta is amazing at home, the Heat are awful. Tough atmosphere, and Atlanta knows they MUST win game 2. Atlanta is not a good road team, and they know how important home games are in the playoffs (see last year series against Boston). They'll probably spank Miami again.

Miami has no answer for the athletic Atlanta Hawks, and not enough fire power to put up points against them.

*15 - Atlanta Hawks -4.5 (bought half a point)

Parlay:

*5 Denver -5.5 + Hawks -4.5

Oh great...62% of public are on Hawks...and to make it worse 68% on the Nuggets. I was expecting heavy public on the 2 teams, but not that much. Vegas must know something LOL.

I never judge my bets on what the public is doing. I take what I like, I knew the public would be heavy on both, but I only saw until after what the %s were. I still like both games..but I know what you mean, it's rare to have see the public come out on top twice when there's only 3 games.

Easy cover on the big play. Must be something with the number 30..can't remember the last time I lost a 30unit + play this year. I think I've only lost 1. Guess I found a new lucky number.

Bad call by me on the Hawks, my bad to anyone who tailed this play because of me. I've watched this team a lot this year, and really thought they would blow the Heat out. Although the Heat did hit some incredible shots, and the barrage of 3's did not help. Joe Johnson lost the game himself in the end as well, although it's all good. Still +9.5 Units on the day.

Thank you Billups for making me some money again. This guy makes Paul look like a little biatch!
