Snipes Sunday - 30* + 10* BANGER

Hey everyone...haven't posted for a while since I haven't been betting much. Trying to pick my spots and find one or two games a week that I REALLY like and wager more since my big plays have been my bread and butter and brought me all the profit this year. Anyways, the game I like for today is the Utah Jazz @ New Orleans Hornets. I can't wait for this game to get started. If I could afford it, I would upgrade this play to a 50* banger, but I'm actually waiting for the line on a game that takes place on Friday, and I want to save the 50 for that in case I like what I see.

The Utah Jazz have been an utter disappointment on the road this year. I have bet against them many times as well as bet for them and they have made me a lot of money this year. I love how they choke on the road, but I love it more how they hammer opponents in Utah.

The game they played in Denver, where the mall was all over Utah was sort of surprising to me. I woke up thinking people would be all over Denver but I saw the opposite. I follow the Lakers obviously, but this year I have followed the Jazz a lot as well. Probably 2nd to the Lakers. Either way, I was a little shocked to see some of the REAL GOOD cappers on Utah. I actually wanted to lay some serious cash on the Nuggets(Don't have to believe me since I didn't post before the game), but after I saw some of the plays on Utah I was a little confused. I was pretty sure Denver would handle them easily, since Utah has a tough time against a hostile crowd. Either way, I am glad I sat it out to see how it plays out.

The New Orleans Hornets are sitting in 6th place, slightly above Utah. It is a big game for both teams. Hornets just came off a tough loss in Golden State and are looking for the bounce back against a terrible Utah team. I would say most would generally think that New Orleans takes this at home. However I feel the opposite.

The Utah Jazz have been humiliated on the road, and even at home against the Twolves. The UTAH JAZZ do not want to slip to #8 and face the Los Angeles Lakers. Let me tell you, the JAzz are a great team..and they feel they can beat anyone in the West except the Lakers. Nobody wants to play in Utah, and I'm sure before they face Utah in the playoffs, they will chalk up the games in Utah as automatic losses. Anyways, in order for Utah to be successful it needs to avoid #8 seed and go into the playoffs knowing they won a couple of road games against good teams.

The Jazz always own the Hornets, and Deron always owns Paul in head to head match-ups. David West is killer, and he might abuse Boozer a bit, but I think Millsap can play him quite well. Hilton Armstrong on Okur? Perfect, Okur won't have to exert defensively, and he can focus offensively. Ronnie Brewer chasing Peja, and Utah's bench will manhandle the Hornets.

Utah takes this by minimum 5 points IMO. They'll come out firing, but it will be close until early 4th where Jazz will just seperate themselves. I would lay all 40 on the ML, but I been burnt before by a point or 2 so I won't.

*30 Units on Utah Jazz + 3 @ New Orleans

*10 Units on Utah Jazz ML

After a long night of doing some research...I am off to bed. Good Luck everyone, see you all in the afternoon!

P.S - some here have wondered if my units are $100 = 1 unit since I post a lot of big plays. And yes, 1 unit is $100.

Best of luck with your play I will probably be tailing you on this one. I appreciate the write up as oppose to what some other guys do in just saying "GOY the year bet the house or whatever" it helps. I only have 1 question. Dallas plays at 3:30 against Pho. This is Pho season if they lose their little glimpse of hope is completely gone. Does the outcome of that game have any weight on the Jazz game in your mind seeing as how the Jazz will know the outcome before their game starts.

Hey boucher, this is a good question and a good point you make. Although I don't think that game should make much of a difference. The only thing I can see effecting the Jazz would be the fact that if Dallas wins, they inch closer towards #7 seed and it makes it an even more important game for Utah.

Thanks everyone

Well the first part of my prediction is right where I figured they'd come out firing. I really hope my second part is wrong (where I said it would end up being close till the 4th lol).
