#### Sundays Spurs Vs Lakers With The Rookieee ####

i am going to step right back into the swing of things here at CM and open with another prime time sunday game with the spurs and lakers...... i pick my spots with these lakers and todays game looks to be one of those games the rookieee calls special....

San Antonio vs L.A. Lakers

this will be the rematch from the jan 14 game in which the spurs won 112-111 at their house..... now its the lake-show to play host in what many of us here on the west coast believe is a pivotal """ season game""" for both teams.... first the lakers, to prove that their soft record is no fluke and they are the "best in the west" still with no theories or what ifs.... on the other side of the coin you have the spurs who have won 4 straight and after getting some revenge will definately be looking for a little more in a hostile environment while playing on the road.... ill get right to the point in this one and tell you that i will be playing with the total and going with the over.... im tired of those hypothetical overthinkers who bad mouth the lakers.... bottom line imo is that these lakers are what they are.... they are tough but especially tough at home.... they can play offense or a stout defense.... they own the best record and they are the western conference champs..... not to mention that they average 109 points per a game at home or the known fact they have averaged the same 109 in their last 5 games..... you could also throw in my little ace factor in this game.... and his name is andrew bynum..... the lakers have really opened up a lot of things with the new ways they are using bynum.... it certainly has worked these last two games in which he had combined 65 points and 29 rebounds... you think they wont try some of them out against one of the top defenses in the league??? you can count on it and besides..... bynum went 9-15 and 18 in that one earlier this month...... but back to the total play....the spurs have so much more to prove in this game as this will be the game they will really look back to later in the season or playoffs....they pretty much can judge their team by this game being of where it is at and the perception how each player is taking this game...... their defense over the last 5 games is at tops with their 90 points.... many will think this is a factor in this game.....it may in some part of this game but imo i dont think it is going to be played out like that..... everyone has been looking at their defense as to what is going right but what i see is tony parker and tim duncan playing leader-ball...in other words give the ball to your stars and let them shoot.... in both players last 3 games you will notice that each scored more points in their consecutive games .... ( duncan 17 pts then 27 points then 30 points ) ( parker 13 points then 13 then 17 ) ......ginobili made his mark in that january game so i expect more firing from him for the embarrassment he had in last seasons playoffs...plus the fact that this a the beginning of a 5 day 3 game road trip against the cream of manys playoff crop..... but this is still the lakers at their home .....they will score points and the spurs will show you that they can run with these lakers.... take the over in this game as this is sundays big ticket for the lake show this season...they wont dissappoint us or the fans..... if minn can score 98 here on a sunday or maybe the 92 mil did or torontos 99...... then i can honestly go with a positive that san antonio can score around a 100 points in this one........ for you side anglers...... san antonio was 3 point favored in that january contest......now the lakers are 6.5 point favored.... thats a 10 point swing off a loss to them...grant it was in texas but that a lot of points....cant remember when if the spurs ever been close to 10 point swings..... i smell something fishy so ill side with the the home team but this total will be the big play for today.....best of luck mallers

FINAL SCORE

LAKERS 114
SPURS 103

25**** LAKERS/SPURS OVER 203

5** LAKERS-6.5

(((BONUS PLAY)))

I WILL BE PLAYING THE OVER IN THE DETROIT GAME AS WELL....YET AS THIS IS WRITTEN THERE IS NO LINE

Im going the other way with the total Rookie.
I know last time they played the score was 112-111 but the 5 times before that and 7 of the last 8 the under has been the winner.
Not to mention since Pop called out the Spurs defence they have held 4 straight opponents to less than 91. Granted none of those teams can score like the Lakers can. I do think the Lakers cover however.

Good luck
