This is a great play considering teams that are up 3-1 in the NBA finals are 28-0 in the close out game.

No way I would go against that history and lay that much chalk.

You are nuts if you really made that bet or disgustingly rich.

I'd rather wipe my ass with a hundred dollar bill than make that bet.

The Los Angeles Lakers probably don't need to fly to Anaheim.

It's just no team has ever come back to win the series. Teams have won the next game before. 28-0 is on the series. Not close out game.
Nice bet.

Anyone who would wager on the Lakers does not belong in thsi forum. How many ass kickings do you want to take? The Lakers have failed to cover in every game. You guys have lost your tails (allegedly, and highly unbelieveably) taking the Lakers. You can not possibly win your losses back. Why not do the smart thing and simply cut your losses? The easy play was Boston +160 to win it all. That was money in the bank. A blind man could see that. You are going to give points and take a team that blew the biggest lead in NBA finals history? Good Luck. I hope I can meet you in person one day, because it would take me about 5 minutes to have your bankroll.

FDS doesn't seek out advice (at least not here in CM) before making and posting his/her bets.

Therefore, the only time that BDQH can offer advice is after FDS posts his/her plays.

It is difficult to bet on a team that just had their "hearts" ripped out of them last game.

If you read my post before the entire playoffs started, you would have seen that there was no way in hades that anyone but Boston and the Lakers were going to play in the NBA Finals. The NBA wanted no part of the Spurs, who drew the worst T.V. ratings against Cleveland last year. Believe what you want, but when ABC Executives say that they would "kill" for a Celtic-Laker series, and "would do anything they can" to get it, the handwriting is on the wall. The Lakers are simply not that good. Making Boston a home court advantage underdog should have sent up red flags all over the place. Knowing how bad the gamblers in L.A. are, and watching the odds climb, should have sent up more red flags. I do not like hoops. It is very easy to script everything that goes on. Everyone wants to deny it, but the NBA is in major trouble now. This game is easily controlled by ref's, who are easily controlled by gamblers. Think what you will, but I tried to tell everyone to read between the lines here. If you wagered on the Lakers, you ignored all the signs. I know very little about each team, but the fact that Vegas was depending on the Laker fans to get suckered in was enough to convince me to climb on the Celtic bandwagon. Do you really believe that the legitimate line in game 2 was Boston -2, and in game 3 was Lakers -10? It looks like their plan worked. Ofcourse if you do not believe me, you can always take the Lakers -7 tomorrow, since it is a "win or stay home" game for them.
