Question Teams after they play Miami Heat

Teams after they play Miami Heat

I was originally thinking that teams are getting up for the Miami Heat this year & give them their best shot.

So I was wondering what happens the game after they play the Heat thinking maybe they would be flat.

I am not sure what it all means and I guess it will even out after time but a quick glance at this tells me that teams who play on the road after the Heat are 4-9 SU and 3-8-1 ATS. At home it closer to .500 on ATS but teams off that Heat won their games more than on road. (Teams are 9-5 SU after Heat when at home and like 7-6-1 ATS.

Again like I said, not sure what it means but I am thinking about tracking teams playing on the road after the Heat and seeing if the trend continues.

If it continued tonight, play would be Magic (I'm not playing)

I did it really fast so not sure it's 100%, wondering if anyone did this with any other teams?

Any thoughts on this in general?

That's a nice chart, Jack, but look a little closer at the quality of the teams that won/covered on the road to the teams that did not. The teams that covered are Utah, Boston, Atlanta, and N.O.; all good teams. The teams that lost: Minny(1-17 on the road), Toronto (3-10), Cleveland (3-12) twice, Phoenix (6-9), Sacto (2-9), GST (3-12). Boston lost, but it was the 2nd game of the season. The Knicks lost, but after going B2B with Boston and Miami.

Just a few things to look at

Okay thanks for that. Makes sense too

Assuming good teams do just fine, it might be wise to just see what happens .500 teams. Dallas tonight obviously would not qualify.

Let's see what happens.

I have seen on more than one occasion, teams coming into Orlando after the Miami game, look tired, especially after a night in South Beach
