Thing that annoys me most watching the NBA.....

Is the high number of uncontested shots....defenders just stand there picking their noses, often no attempt to get a hand in the face or block

Great offensive league, but the D leaves alot to be desired.

Great offensive league, but the D leaves alot to be desired.
The best is getting beat baseline off the dribble and then "patting" your chest saying "my bad". No shit.............In the NBA, you play D only when necessary and not multiple possessions in a row.

Disclaimer: Fade me or trail me, but you do so at your own risk! This is gambling and trust me you could lose, just ask my bookie! No "megastar galaxy lock of the years or game of the week/year, unless otherwise posted I play everything to win 1 unit! If you lose trailing me, I don't want to hear any crying!

Guys stop playing for the love of the game and start playing for the paycheck. Its contagious. Only the great ones dig in and play lockdown D. The Bulls in the 90s and Bad Boys come to mind. Even Magic's Lakers in the 80s would lock you up.

A couple Ideas :

*Performance based contracts
*Shorten the regular season (I know its all about $$$ but it should be quality not quantity)

i agree

and to make it worse they completely overshadow guys that are lockdown defenders. it's more or less assumed now in the NBA that players don't play defense, but there are some great perimeter defenders who actually play great defense despite the rules and officials of the NBA who want to make it nearly impossible to do so.
