Not related to game, but just happened during game:

Sitting here, and heard a thump against the window. Not unusual, as we all know, birds are idiots. Eventually got up an looked out, there was a humingbird laying out there with one wing sticking out, panting hard. I guess he was stunned from hitting the window.



Went to the kitchen, and mixed up some purified water, brown sugar, and red food coloring...poured it on a plate and stuck it under his beak.



I thought maybe his wing was broken or something, and figured I'd be picking up a dead hummingbird tomorrow morning, but after about 15 minutes he climbed up on the edge of the plate and drank some sugar-water. He sat there for a couple minutes breathing heavy. I was looking at him, and he was looking at me. I can't imagine too many opportunities to touch a hummingbird, so I petted his back lightly. He chilled another couple minutes and then flew off.

If you buy hummingbird food in the store, it's just sugar and water, colored red. Something about hummingbirds, they're attracted to red, and identify it with food sources. If you live in an area with hummingbirds, you'll notice them hovering around red flowers.

And I have several different food colorings, strictly because I can mix a bunch of drinks, and some frozen drinks need some color enhancement. Presentation counts, yo.
