i dont know what reputable books let you buy points on half lines, there would be too much value on some of the lines.

although you should always line shop and have enough outs to get the best line. plenty of -9 -110 out there, you wouldnt want to buy -9 for -120 even if they let you.

i would either have the outs to make the bets or at least check a few lines and if you know you could get better i would just lay off. try to bet into best numbers if possible is the 2nd key to winning.

i never buy the hook. have done it maybe twice in my life, and both times it was entirely unnecessary. me saying shoulda coulda woulda was just frustration. oh well, gotta take the bad beats for what they are.

yes they should have covered.

i only buy points when im already getting a good line and I believe the game might end close to the spread. its on gut feel really, not to often. although i try not to bet it to begin with if i think it wont win easily.
