Wednesday NBA Referee Assignments
Washington at Orlando: (Orl -10 and 184.5) Derrick Stafford is 4-8 o/u in games with totals below 185 points since the start of last season, and ref Scott Wall is 2-4 o/u in that same category. Washington is 3-7 o/u with Stafford and 1-7 o/u with Wall. Orlando is 1-4 o/u with Stafford and 3-6 o/u with Wall.
Chicago at Philadelphia: (Chi -2 and 180.5) Some mixed trends here. Ref Ken Mauer is 11-4 o/u this season, including 5-1 o/u in games with totals below 185 points. However, he is a neutral 5-5 o/u in Chicago games and leans to the Under in Philly games, going 2-6 o/u in his last 8 with them. Toronto at Boston: (Bos -9 and 173) This crew has a general lean to the Under this season: James Capers is 6-9 o/u, David Jones is 4-12 o/u, and Courtney Kirkland is 3-11 o/u. Boston is not particulary strong ATS with this crew (5-5 ATS, 5-5 ATS, 3-7 ATS), but Toronto is on a bad run with all three refs. The Raptors are 0-9 ATS with Capers, 1-7 ATS with Jones, and 0-5 ATS with Kirkland. Detroit at New Jersey: (NJ -6.5 and 182) Lots of conflicting referee trends for this game. Indiana at Minnesota: (Min -3 and 196) Tony Brothers is always good for the road team and the Under. Road dogs getting fewer than 5 points are 10-2 ATS with Brothers since the start of last season. Tony Brothers is 4-14 o/u this season, including 0-8 o/u in games with totals above 195 points. Indy is 1-7 o/u in their last 8 games with Brothers, and Minny is 0-5 o/u with him. Brother will be helped by ref Leroy Richardson, who is 6-11 o/u this season, including 1-6 o/u in games with totals above 195 points. Indy is 1-5 o/u with Richardson, and Minny is 2-4 o/u with him. Miami at Milwaukee: (Mia -6.5 and 196) Some weak or conflicting trends for this crew. Road faves of more than 5 points are 3-0 ATS with ref Leon Wood this season, but both Miami and Milwaukee are on runs of 8-1 ATS with him. Phoenix at New Orleans: (NO -2 and 182) Some conflicting trends for this crew. Dick Bavetta went under last night in Memphis, although he was a missed-3-pointer away from the over in OT. He was on a 0-6 o/u run in games with totals below 185 points until he started a 5-2 o/u run in those games this season. New Orleans is 2-8 o/u with Bavetta, but Phoenix is 6-4 o/u with him. Ref Eli Roe has conflictin o/u trends as well, with New Orleans being 2-8 o/u in their last 10 with Roe, and Phoenix being 8-2 o/u with him. Conflicting ATS trends, too. Oklahoma City at Dallas: (Dal -2 and 197.5) More mixed trends here. Refs Mark Ayotte and Ron Garretson are strong Under refs this season, but Ayotte has a strong Over history with OKC and Garretson leans Over with Dallas. Nothing noteworthy for the side. Houston at San Antonio: (San -5.5 and 196) Ref Matt Boland is 9-6 o/u this season, including 2-0 o/u in games with totals above 195 points. San Antonio is 5-3 o/u with Boland, and Houston is a strong 8-0 o/u with him. San Antonio is 4-2 o/u with ref Dan Crawford, and Houston is 5-2 o/u with him. Charlotte at Portland: (Cha -14.5 and 183) Ref John Goble is 0-4 o/u in games with totals below 185 points this season. Charlotte is 0-3 o/u in their last 3 with Goble, and Portland is 0-5 o/u with him. The other two refs with slight leans to the Under in this game. Mixed ATS trends, with 2 refs leaning to Portland and 1 to Charlotte. L.A. Clippers at Utah: (LAC -3 and 193) Weak ATS trends and conflicting o/u trends for this game. Ref Pat Fraher is 4-10 o/u this season, but Portland is on a 4-1-1 o/u run with him, and Utah is on a 7-1-1 o/u run with him.
