Whats your theory on why so many big leads are lost in the NBA?

I mean your team can be up 20 near halftime and you can still be genuinely concerned.

I follow quite abit of hoops around the globe and the NBA seems to have the greatest amount of big leads lost.
IMO parity and the fact the NBA is such a high scoring league are two big factors.

Why do you think it is?

Wasn't aware of that game that a lead was blown or aware most here were on Portland.

My apoligies if I offended anyone. Opinions on the topic welcome.

too many players playing to the scoreboard and not playing basketball

IE tonight.. portland passing up good looks early in the shot clock so they can milk clock and eventually get a shitty shot... shooting is contagius.. u get a guy knocking down his shots they all start falling

u miss a shot they cant seem to sit right in the rim

Because intensity is not always there for 48 minutes. Teams will all of sudden play harder on defense. See the Jazz tonight. Somewhere in the 3rd quarter the Jazz picked up their defensive intensity and Portland hardly got any easy shots .D. Williams decided he was going to play hard and penetrate and break down the defense. These guys don't try hard every night. Most suspicious league around. Overpaid jackasses. NBA puts many gamblers on tilt. Portland was covering for 99% of the game.

It happened in another game tonight where huge leads were blown. Atlanta was destroying the warriors and they blew it too. It happens. Points are easily scored in the nba. We all know that...

Yea I had money on the Atlanta Assholes (and almost bet the Portland Cocksuckers too, but decided to call it done for this week cause I was banging some hoe) and so just want to voice my opinions. To me big leads like these are lost because those idiotic coaches don't know how to coach. Players and coaches are nothing but a bunch of stupid people in the NBA.

DaveNZ, you asked a valid question which should not offend anyone. You should not have to apologize. People are angry, like me, but they should not be angry at you for asking such a question.

No way you can possibly offend anyone with this....one you didnt bet Utah and are gloating and secondlt you started a seperate thread asking a legitimate question.

The Atlanta meltdown was also painful but they were a 5 pt road chalk and supposedly its easier to mount huge comebacks at home than it is on the road. I think Atlanta was up 16 or 18 at some pt so maybe they had an 11-13 lead vs the spread.

The Portland meltdown is inexplicable because 1. they had a 25 pt lead and 2. They were at home. I think one time in the 4q they had possesion up 4 or 5 with a chance to extend the lead and basically end the game and they got 3 seprate cahnces with offensive rebounds and still couldnt do it. I swear Portland maybe scored 1 pt the final 3 minutes of that game and thats sad.

PEACE

ALL Vegas Bookmaker is a Jackass!!

ALL NBA Games are fixed!! Every game in the NBA is just a show. All players are just acting. Vegas is the one make all the calls so don't celebrate until the games is over. Even if your team that you picked is up by 25 pts. I was on the Portland and Atlanta tonight. Both teams eventually lost the game and Atlanta was up 16 at the end of third quarter and Portland was up 25 in third quarter. I am so pissed off right now and can't believe why Vegas play these tricks on better. That's insane!!
