At some books this moved to Utah -1.5. A few things that come to mind about this are:

Kobe's finger injury might be more serious than reported Friday night. He is listed as probable.

Lakers are playing a back to back.

For Utah its a revenge game after the way they looked Thursday night vs. LA.

The whole thing looks like a trap!

utah's won 6 straight at home and they've been lighting it up for the most part in utah. that combined with kobe's finger situation makes it "seem" like a good spot for utah. most of the arrows seem to be in utah's favor and that would scare me off

Local radio has been pounding the Jazz this week, saying things like they're not a top-tier team in the West, and that the Jazz couldn't beat the Lakers in a 7 game series unless LA lost Kobe, Gasol, and at least one other guy.

Utah has been mostly winning, but local market still down on them.

So, some are down on LA in this spot, some are down on the Jazz against LA in general, and the line is fishy. I wouldn't know which way to play here.

Go back and look at the history between the two teams in Utah. It's very hard to play in Utah, and when the Lakers are in town the Jazz fans go nuts. It's already a hard place to play in, add in the fact that it's the Lakers. Also, Lakers played yesterday, Kobe's finger is hurt, and Laker have enjoyed a nice home stretch. Today is sort of like a wake up call, logically it's an impossible game for the Lakers to win.

And comparing Laker -10.5 againt Utah in LA is totally irrelevant. Utah always struggles in Staples..it's almot weird actually.
