They didn't end with 4. NBA rules let you bring back the last guy to foul out. Curry was allowed to come back in even after he fouled out.

How about how it affected the total?

The game opened at 216 and closed at 217.5

with 4.0 seconds left the total was at 214...the foul was called and because Curry fouled out but had to stay on the floor to make 5 players, a tech was given in addition to the 2 FT's granted....

All 3 were made 214 + 3 = 217

Depending on when you bet the total the tech made you a winner instead of a loser or push or vice versa.
