Heading to Vegas In July!!

Well my first trip to vegas will be happening this july Heading down from the 1st-8th after my crab season finishes. Going myself as I see it as a place/vacation that I need to do solo to be able to enjoy it to the fullest. Besides Gambling and a night in the sports books there what else would come of you recommend I do??? Nonetheless Im going to have a blast and am pretty pumped about it Cheers.

Drink lots of fluids
In July it will be flipping really hot so stay hydrated! As a matter of fact, if you were going in November, stay hydrated!

I like the sports book in the Bellagio. Check out Ceasers too.
Cabbing up and down the strip can add up. Was there in November and a cabbie suggested the new RDX bus....$7 bux takes you up and down the strip for 24 hours...stopping at all major hotels and shopping. The later was needed cause the mrs was with me.

Cirque de Soleil love is amazing.....a Beatles theme. Thought no way I would like that sort of thing - but it is really good.
People watch....be careful, lots of silicone there and you might lose an eye. An acceptable injury in that situation though.

I sure wouldn't go by myself unless I was doing it for a 24-36 hour binge.

I like going with a bunch of people because you can venture out, some got to night clubs, strip clubs, blackjack tables, etc....

Use those ABC Stores and Walgreens/CVS. I personally live out of ABC when I'm out there. I buy a 24 pack of water and about 10-14 gatorades for the room the 1st day I get there. You do not want to get dehydrated, especially in July.

You gotta go to the pool in July too, the people watching is Top Notch!

Agree for sure about ABC Stores.......one across the street from the Bellagio in the Miracle Mile shops. That is one of our first stops as well.

Thanks for the advice. I have a good poker friend who messaged me this evening is going from the 2nd-6th for his nieces wedding on the 3rd so Im going to meet up with him on the 4th and 5th to in his words "tare" up the strip haha. Yeah I know it will be hot and dry when I go so staying hydrated will be key. Ill look in to the whole cab thing but money isnt really that big of an issue for me when I go. The whole alone thing is my choice, Ive had a few people (including the girlfriend) want to come but I decided Vegas is something I need to explore myself first. Im a gambler and a poker player so I will be kept quite busy and I dont really want to have to worry about if someone else is having a good time lol. May be selfish but sometimes you need to treat yourself. I remember seeing a few people here heading down there for 5 or 6 days themselves a couple years ago when I first started following on this site and they recommended going alone.

Oh yeah and before you say I should of took the girl, she got here way and we're heading to Jamaica here on feb 24th. Never been there but we were at the Dominican last year so Im guessing its the same just a diff Island! Cheers.
