So does Indy have a great rush D, or just a horrible pass D?

11/14 opposing QB's have thrown over and 9/14 opposing RB's have been under?

Just asking because a team with only 1 win and not many close games... Shouldnt it be the other way around?

Makes sense to me......Indy has let 11 of 14 QBs throw over. Indy, up until last week, has been terrible. They have the 24th ranked pass defence.
All I can say is the stats on the chart are accurate.

By no means am I saying the stats are wrong, just trying to figure out why teams continue to throw on the Colts when they have leads instead of run?

Thats why I am asking if the Colts have a strong rush D or is it just that easy to throw against them?

Colts allow 4.1 yards per carry (tied for 12th best with a couple other teams).

Opposing QBs complete 71.4% of their passes (worst), and 23.9 completions per game (4th worst).

Got ya, makes sense what you are saying. Slammer's stats are very helpful in explaining the situation.

I am really torn on playing Yates over. I thought it looked automatic, just don't know if Foster will dominate and keep the ball out of Yates's hands. Shaub only completed 17 passes in game one, so what will Yates do? I suppose if they play to Indy's weakness he should go over. Think I might look elsewhere for now.

i'm biting on foster and longest rush under. at 102.5 and 28.5 the number's are just too high to pass up imo.

also like wayne under.

Realisticly you would expect Foster to dominate and keep ball out of Yates hands, but then again with Colts stellar rush D/lack of pass D & Texans already having the division locked up and Foster being a little banged up, whats the chances of him sitting out the 4th if they are up a bit ala Frank Gore Monday night?

Like the first 2, not sold on wayne yet, IF Colts playing from behind, he has been probably the main/only dependable/reliable target for the Colts this year.

I would say it's a stretch to call Indy's Rush D as 'stellar'. They allow 4.1 yards per carry but are 5th worst in total yards. Teams do still run against them. The past few years they've been last in Rush D. But 5th worst is still pretty poor.
I was thinking of taking Yates and Foster over, and long rush over. But Indy has only allowed 8 runs over 20 yards. I'm quite shocked by that sitting at 8. If anyone can go over 20 yards, it's Foster. Will he sit is a good question. Yates shouldn't sit, but Foster might, if Houston is up big.

"Owen Daniels, Houston Texans – The Texans tight end remains questionable for Thursday’s game with a knee injury, though the team expects him to give it a go in warm ups. With wideout Andre Johnson already ruled out, missing Daniels could be a big loss for Houston. Daniels leads the team with 673 receiving yards."

Merry Christmas all
