Alright here goes

I went to the store to buy a ticket and some stuff for the house like soap and other things... anyways he rung in my ticket, and I paid by debit. He gives me the receit and well guess what he did not charge me for the ticket.

What happens in this case?

What happens next is up to your own conscience......either return and pay for the ticket - the minimum wage earning clerk might get stuck with it if their cash does not balance - or don't return and don't pay for it, in which case your nuts will shrivel and fall off.

totally agree, pay the person as most are responsible for their cash, plus karma will come to bite you in the ass

Good choice TLC. My wife works the counter at our local Mac's in the very little village we live in and Lottery short comings are taken off they're minimum wage pay. So thanx.

Although that has happened to me when I have bought one from a distance but if I can I will go back to cover it

No it didn't haha

I really wasn't sure what would happen. I don't know if OLG would have gave the store a fine or just had to pay the 20 back and get a lashing from the owner and believe me the owner takes no shit from anyone. The kid probably would have gotten fired for sure.

I never really thought of just taking the free ticket and going home. I just went back in the store told the guy " Look I think you didn't charge my ticket while I paid debit." He looked at me confused, I was like, "Bro look at my receipt and you tell me if that was worth $5.81"

He paused at me and looked and said, " Shit I didn't charge you the extra $20"

I smiled and told him, " You best get on that"

While the transaction was taking place he was thanking me over and over he was I would have got in BIG trouble if they seen his cash was under 20 bucks. He was asking if I was hungry I said I was actually going to get some wings and fries and watch some sports on TV. He said hold up I am going to get some food to. We went next door he closed the store while we went in. I ordered my food, felt more hungry then normal so I got like 30 wings instead of 10 and crispy fries and a 591 ML coke for 15 bucks. As soon as I took out my debit again he tapped me and said wait and he ordered his lunch, "I was what are you doing?"

He takes out his wallet and told me it was his treat cause of what I did. He works there all the time now a days, I told the guy, If I ever need a tab like if I don't get paid on a day and I am on my last 10 bucks will you spot me a pack of smokes or a drink or whatever my kid wants in the store if I am short of funds that day. He looked at me and told me I just won't charge you and you just pay me back whenever you get money. I shook his hand and he thanked me again and I leave.

Just wish the ticket hit would have been a great start to the new year but of course one game does me in lol.

Geez......can't remember her name at the moment but will try to find it. I saw here on a television commercial (might have been cellular stuff) and wondered who she was.....googled who is the woman in that commercial and came across her photo. I will try to find her name.

Taking the ticket back was the right thing to do, but I'll just make one point.......If I'm the cashier and I forgot to charge a customer for something.....I'm not going to take a tongue lashing from my boss. I'm going to take 5 bucks or 20 bucks or whatever it was out of my own wallet and put it in the till. If I don't have it on me, I'm calling a buddy or someone to come give me the money. Matter over with.

Don't worry about the kid too much, he had a pretty easy solution to his problem by just paying for it himself before his boss finds out, but good on you for doing the right thing anyway.
