so as i was figurin' out me combo yesterday i thought that havin' two relatively weak QB's in the HOU/IND game would lend itself to a great triple correlated combo play with:
Sacks Ova Fumbles Ova Longest Pass Unda after checkin' the sacks % per attempts and long passes (20+% and 40+%) per attempts, all the stats pointed to a higher sackin', short throwin' game and it paid off... the idea of this thread is to look at triple correlated plays like that, give 'em a name, and look fer more combos like that that would be applicable to upcomin' games... that way you could size up a game and just pick which one of the special combos you think would apply to it... you could even play several combos that include different possible angles fer each game... and win on all of 'em... i remember when good ol' borg played them "Sloppy Game" combos which included Interceptions Ova, Sacks Ova, and Fumbles Ova... and there were games where it fit in perfectly with the style of play expected from the QB's... some ideas might include: Air Assault... one or both QB's Ova with a correlated receiver Ova and Long Pass Ova... Deadlock... one or both halves unda, field goal and punt return ova all ideas and correlated plays welcome... here's yer chance to coin a combo lol... this'll help us all in the future too which is the best part...

Also another thing would be to look at the prop lines on the card and see what type of game is expected, and see what results usually come outta those cards...
like a card with 2 QB's in the high 20's fer completions... what usually happens to the other props and what is the best way to play 'em? or with 2 rushers on a card in the high 90s... that's a different type of card... what is the usual outcome on cards like that? another angle is to look at the points fer the halves on the card and see what usually happens to each prop with high and low points expected... i remember finding field goal undas bein' correlated to high expected scorin' games fer example... |

Another idea to be researched is when there is one really good team and QB vs a really bad team and QB...
there should be some triple correlated play combos applicable to them... |

Good day ya Malibu Rummy, happy holidays to your skinny self and family.
My favorite combo is the "B" combo, just thought I'd share, it's not complicated. .....Booze ....BroadsI was always a B student, but that's just me.

Grizz, great to see you always coming up with innovative ideas, that's why we love you here at the Mall man.
Just for the record, I am tracking the Sacks / Fumbles Correlation play on another board and it's coming in at about 45% right now through 55 cards, give or take. This includes Sacks Under/Fumbles Under and Sacks Over/Fumbles Over. I don't have a % how often the Sacks Over/Fumbles Over/Longest Pass Under would come in but I have to hazard a guess it would be lower than 45%. Obviously, we are not going to play this combo in every props card but I thought it is important to have some baseline number as a point of reference. Cheers and Merry Christmas to you and other Mallers here! |

For those that have a chance to play at a casino, the Field goals made in a game and the over/under for longest field goal may be a correlation tandem. A third pick to go along with it may be the points in either half.
From my experience this year, by memory only at this point, I have found that two high powered offences typically will have less than four field goals in a game. Two more mediocre offences may tend to hit 4 or more. It is logical to think that great offences score td's, have more confidence in going for it on fourth down near the opponent's 35 yard line, and if playing against another great offence, will not settle for field goals. Therefore a ticket could be field goals made under, longest field goal under and maybe one of the halfs over. On the flip slide, take last night's game for example, two not so great offences (taking into consideration the injuries to Schaub/Andre Johnson). You had field goals made come in, longest field goal come through and both halfs were unders. I am going to look into this further. Good to have you back posting Grizz. Best wishes and best of health to you. |
