Super Bowl Thoughts, Plays, Trends, Etc.

Well the last game of the NFL season and no more football until the first of July with the CFL.

When this line first came out on Sunday night of the Conference Championships I first thought I like the Giants, by the next day I was liking the Pats, by the next day back to the GMen and to be honest I have been back and forth on this game ever since. Finally made up my mind this afternoon and put the play in so no matter if I change my mind again its too late, lol!!!

I would like this game more if I knew that Gronkowski was close to 100% but with the Pats you will never get that information.

The one area where I really like the Giants is their defensive front and getting some pressure on Brady, but I honestly believe that the Pats are going to counterattack this by going no huddle for a huge majority of this game to not allow the Giants to substitute and make it harder for that rush to keep coming play after play. If the Pats allow the front to take over this game then this bet will be done as will the Pats. If the Giants can't get to Brady and get some pressure I believe they will have alot of success against this Giants secondary.

Other side I think the GMen will also be able to move the ball against this Pats secondary, if once again like the Pats on offense the Giants OLine gives Eli some time to allow his receivers downfield to get through their routes, if this happens I believe the Giants will get their points as well.

In the end I just believe that Brady and the Pats offense will make a few more plays on the offensive side than the GMen and the Giants offense.

As for the total, last time these two met they managed to score 0 points in the first half and 44 in the second half, I believe we will see a continuation of this in this game only difference being I don't think we will see 0 points scored in the first half, but I do think we will once again see alot of points scored in the second half maybe not 44 like in their first meeting but would not be surprised to see mid 30's and if they can at least manage to score into the 20's in the first half then the over will come in at the end. I think we will probably see a lower scoring first half as both teams have very good head coaches who will have a few new wrinkles defensively, but also having these very good head coaches I believe they will come up with the necessary changes at halftime to overcome these defenses in the end.
