GGG vs Canelo
Canelo Alvarez, Gennady Golovkin announce they'll fight Sept. 16 at site to be determined
We finally get what we want before both fighters are shot My early lean is for GGG to overwhelm him late TKO buildup is going to be unreal wde

I cant see him stopping Canelo. I think this is when we see GGG box. He had a tough fight against Jacobs who I think could beat Canelo. I see a close decision

Jacobs is so much bigger then either one of these guys
This is one fight I will buy this year regardless of undercard wde

Love GGG at -150.

saw 165 now. Canelo has a legit shot. This will not be a pushover. I think GGG is just too much. Canelo will have trouble with someone his size being that aggressive with him and that power will eventually wear him

Can't wait for this fight. GGG is def better but for some reason I wanna buy Canelo and I have no read on the market. I hate events that are lined months in advance. This line could do anything. I want over +150 on Canelo, but I would play down to about +140 so I'm going to monitor it closely. If it starts inching towards +140 I'll buy, until then I'm going to wait it out but I don't think this line will move much until the day of

I think you will get Canelo around 145-150. The Mexicans will dump money on him late as they usually do. Early money prob GGG is when you will get your best price imo. Anytime a Big Irish or Englishman or Mexican or Puerto Rican fights usually best to wait it out these nationalities are notorious for dumping late money on their countryman

Does anyone think Golovkin being 9 years older and looking a little vulnerable in the Jacobs fight makes this one a little closer than some think? Everyone seems to be all over GGG pretty quickly here?

I like the fact Canelo is way younger and has been in big fights. He's battle tested. Don't know much about boxing but I'm finding it hard to believe that this matchup is this far away from a coin flip. |

Jacobs would beat Canelo. He is a very skilled fighter with size

Age doesn't bother e at all. Mexican fighters start at age 10. Canelo probably had 200 fights before he turned pro. He has 50 something already.

DeLahoya made sure he got Canelo a no rehydration clause for this fight. Canelo will prob be the heavier man in the ring now since GGG doesn't really add a ton f weight. Canelo is used to fighting as a true middleweight . He is known as Caneloweight for his fights because he is always between 154 and 160. This will be a good fight

Canelo is not used to fighting as a true middleweight. sorry. Only time he did was against Chavez and that fight was an absolute toss away so do not take anything from that. GGG is comfortable at this weight and one of the main reasons I like him here is he has the ability to make adjustments and Canelo has shown atleast to e when his game plan is thrown off he gets frustrated. Mayweather proved that but GGG is going to be the aggressor here and Canelo is not going to be used to that with a guy with so much power

The biggest thing I think Canelo has going for him is his ability to counter punch. He is exceptional at it but the problem with this is he has not been hit by anyone that punches as hard as GGG. If Canelo lets GGG dictate the fight then he is in trouble. I don't think he will get knocked out but like I said I hope his trainers and others have gotten better since that Mayweather fight because if he needs a Plan B and they don't have one for him again he is in trouble. Mayweather is excellent fighting on the back pedal and a very good counterpuncher and Canelo couldn't deal with it. This fight GGG will come at him so if he can get his counters off and be effective with the then we will have a fight

Kinda hard to compare anything or anyone with Maywesther he was the best defensive boxer ever. He was just too great at counter punching. Everyone knew Floyd's game plan and in almost 50 fights it couldn't be broken. I can't believe how long ago that fight was.
Solely based on the odds I like Canelo. If this fight was fought 100 times, GGG doesn't win 58 times (+140). That's just my opinion. I think this fight right now is right around a coin flip. The Over rounds will be the heavy favorite im assuming. Both can throw punches and if one lands it could knock someone out. It's unlikely to happen but depending on price the Under may be worth a small bet |

Was only saying Mayweather because Canelo had no real plan in that fight. Canelo couldn't put down a wore down bum in Chavez he will be in for a surprise when Golovkin gets in there. Canelo has the better footwork and head movement and counter punch but his power will not translate in this fight. He knocked out a glass chinned Khan and didn't do shit to Chavez. I am liking GGG more and more in this one

I am struggling with the thought of laying that much juice against Canelo. Right now in what I think is a fight that can go either way, I am taking the dog.

I read today where they had a secret weigh in and that Chavez actually was lighter then Canelo at the time on the digital scale.
I still think Canelo is going to have to open up to have a chance against GGG and I kind of think if GGG takes him out he might consider retiring... The other thing is that I think Canelo is walking around heavier then he ever has been right now....GGG is known for maintaining his weight so as not to endure a big weight cut... GGG is just a better professional wde
