MMA: ufc versus2 picks

ytd: 47W-30L +$765.01

j.ellenberger -155 $50
**this will be no easy task for ellenberger. his opponent howard is a beast. he has a low center of gravity and amazing core strength. his fights in the UFC thus far have been against solid competition as he depends on his inside attack, takedowns and wrestling. on his feet he has power but as we witnessed in the hallman fight he can be neutralized and pushed back. ellenberger is a solid wrestler aswell and he posseses all the same attributes as howard but comes with a bigger frame and about 4 more inches. ellenbergers his extremely powerful and his striking is a little more tight and aggressive. i feel strongly that he can push howard back with his jab alone and in the pocket he will hit first, often and harder. with time he will mount and take this fight over. this is one good looking fight and ellenberger has the edge in every area. i really cannot see howard getting numerous takedowns to set the pace on the ground. this will be a war and fun to watch.

I gotta look over who's fighting, but I do likes Jones in this one.

DDream, what do you think about Gomi. I think there may be some value in a wager on him. I know Tyson is a machine, but I'm getting that feeling he can be upset in this one. Also, I agree with Loonz in the value of Munoz. There is always an upset, so maybe we can take one or two here.

Tysons never lost back to back fights I think its to risky betting on Gomi . Tyson grinds of a decision Imo .

Loonz, your probably right. I'm gonna scratch that fight from my card, seems too risky. Tough card to predict other than Johnson if you want to lay that juice.

well munoz does appear to be the right chice on value alone right? he has the speed and force to push the always slow starting japanese okami down early and pull off the upset. his striking powerful and average but the problem i have here is munoz is alot like sonnen as far as wrestling and takedowns. okami has really good grappling and wrestling and his striking is top notch so i have to believe omaki will be prepared. ufc threw munoz to see if okami can adjust to his achillies heel. remember he was once a contender. bottomline for me is munoz can win here no doubt so there is tremendous value BUT okami has accepted he needs to fight "american" and even went as far as to train with sonnen. that tells me alot and tells me to sit back observe and make notes on how munoz uses striking to mount a good striker and how a striker uses wrestling to neutralize a great wrestler. pass for me

ok gomi-tyson. seriously how do u pass up on gomi +255ish, wow. ok as u all know for years now have stated japanese fights so over rated. to me they bring one strong element and thats usaully it. gomi however brings great grappling-wrestling and crazy stand-up. tyson just as good wrestling-grappling and very tight traditional stand -up. thst good enough for me. tyson is so smooth and robotic that he will take what comes and adjust in time. gomi willn't win this fight in the stand up and i suspect he think he will, i see a toe to toe battle late and tyson takes it home. but at that price its a pass, if u think gomi has a 40% to 50% chance u should take it.
