NSAC Suspensions

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended Khabib Nurmagomedov for 9 months (retroactive to Oct. 6) and fined him $500k for his involvement in the brawl at UFC 229. The suspension can be reduced to 6 months if Nurmagomedov participates in an anti-bullying campaign.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended Conor McGregor for 6 months (retroactive to Oct. 6) and fined him $50k for his involvement in the brawl at UFC 229.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's teammates Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov have each received one-year suspensions and $25,000 fines. Suspensions retroactive to Oct. 6, 2018.

Nevada commission essentially told Conor if he continues to ramp up his pre-fight talk in a similar way he has, they will consider taking disciplinary action against him, which they've never done for verbal actions.

Jon Jones is cleared to fight in Nevada again.

Even if he tests positive for picogram levels of M3 steroid metabolite, he'll be cleared ... as long as they don't increase in a way to raise suspicion.

Nevada is going to test him regularly, in addition to all other tests he has.

Nevada has granted Jones a one fight license to compete at UFC 235 on March 2.

He will be tested at least twice a month and he must pay for testing ... And then he will continue to be tested constantly for the rest of the year.

So he will be subject to drug testing by USADA, VADA and Nevada Athletic Commission.

Khabib is “done” fighting in Nevada due to the one-year suspension they handed his teammates today, his manager Ali Abdelaziz said.

He will also not fight until their suspensions are over and is now targeting a return to action at MSG in November.

Bk your thought process is flawed only from the stand point that you are not taking into account that Connor has been involved in many other issues.

Many athletes seem to fill that their past should not play into any issue with their present. Each crime builds on itself and I personally think he got off light.

There is a difference between the person who shows up late for work one time and the other who showed up late for the 8th time.

He contributed to this by his actions ...not saying completely culpable but not forgivable

Dillon Danis suspended 7 months, fined $7,500 for his role in UFC 229 brawl

The suspension is applied retroactively to the Oct. 6 event, meaning he’s eligible to return to competition May 6.

The $7,500 must be paid in full before he can be licensed in Nevada.

Danis did not appear at today’s NSAC monthly meeting at the Grant Sawyer State Office Building in Vegas. However, Mike Mersch was in attendance as Danis’ representative and did not object to a proposed settlement with the commission.
