Since Cain last fought, Francis is 5-2

Ngannou's total cage time in those five wins is 7 minutes and 30 seconds, an average fight time of 90 seconds.

Both losses came by way of unanimous decision.

Average significant strikes landed in those 7 bouts = 9.7

UFC fighters who started the year undefeated and have fought in 2019 are 5-7 so far.

Undefeated fighters competing at Phoenix are:

Kron Gracie
Aleksandra Albu
Manny Bermudez
Benito Lopez

Bermudez and Lopez face one another on the card.

Second straight fight where Barao has missed weight.

He is 1-3 in fights where he has fought above 136.0

1-5 in his last 6 ... only win in that time span is against Phillipe Nover

I know Luke Thomas/Rogan and others have come out against fighters missing weight and still gettting to fight

It almost seems it is a strategy for some...if you do not care about the title at the weight class just winning and getting paid...

Fighters who missed weight went 13-9 in 2018 ... really not much of an advantage coming in heavy.

Almost all put back on 20-30lbs come fight night, far and few between with any real size advantage outside height and/or reach.

Also, almost all that miss aren't top tier fighters / title contenders (the real professionals)

As always he had a great camp, this should be a fun one ... 2 guys that dislike each other ... wrestler vs. striker. It's a must Rivera defend takedowns and keep it on the feet being the better standup fighter, Aljo has a path to victory If he can utilize his grappling, drag it to the floor and let his wrestling take over.

As odds indicate (+120/-140) it's close, all depends who can get the fight in their comfort zone and how well Aljo deals with Rivera's pressure. As of now just a spectator hoping Funk Master pulls it off.

It's only fitting the 5,000th fight in UFC history features a Gracie

Kron, the son of the legendary Rickson and grandson of the late, great Hélio, will make his UFC debut tonight with Nate Diaz in his corner

Kron has a chance to snap a 24-year skid for the Gracies

Royce - UFC 60 - Loss

Rolles - UFC 109 - Loss

Renzo - UFC 112 - Loss

Roger - UFC 162 - Loss

Lots of close matchups on the card tonight ... Only 3 betting favorites are more than 2-to-1. Tremendous matchmaking from Sean Shelby.

My guy scanned the markets and there is little volume and few wagers of any size.

Best he could find for "known" action is a "UFC only" bettor who took Luque for $8,500 from -385 to -442 to win $2,100.

Tonight’s Jodie Esquibel vs. Jessica Penne fight has been canceled, according to multiple sources. Penne missed weight yesterday by two pounds, but it is unclear at this time if the fight was removed from the card due to that reason.

IF the UFC keeps the same lineup in tact, that means Gracie v Caceres will no longer be the 5,000th fight in UFC history.
