A wall would also prevent the need for more agents - which means less people risking their lives, losing their lives, a family having their mom and/or dad die (most likely breadwinner), and less taxpaying dollars in the long-run. Most importantly, it's a lot harder to traffic humans (specifically children through the border) which should be anyone and everyone's main concern. No other president in their 8 years has come close to what Trump has done arresting human/child traffickers in 3 years, saving the lives of those being sold as slaves/sex slaves.

Sure, initially this sounds like a lot of money. But it saves tax-payer money and American lives in the long run.
Republicans had majorities in the House and the Senate for two years with a Republican President, and STILL couldn't get this done, that's all you need to know how effective that wall would be. And many Republicans who represent border states disagree with an entire wall across the border. This isn't just Democrats

I donít believe I mentioned Democrats and/or Republicans. Just Trump on trafficking and why the border wall should span the entire border. Honestly, the wall shouldnít be a political issue, it should be an American issue. Fuck both sides if the aisle. Take away anyoneís love or hate for Trump. Mexico is an underdeveloped country with a lot of poverty and terrible crime/criminals/people with no other choice. Itís not the same as the border between our two countries... not even close. Drugs and human trafficking are real issues that, at an incredible rate, really diminish lives that a lot of us canít begin to imagine. Human trafficking alone is a trillion dollar business worldwide, and usually with children or young women. Most times taken from poorer countries, or places where natural disasters occur, and brought to our developed countries because sickos have the money to pay for it in cash here.

Borders and walls are needed for extra preventive measures so it helps slow/ stops these disgusting things from happening.

Walls are like bridges. They are expensive but they last for a century or more with a little maintenance.

you dont make any sense, so because republicans and democrats ignored illegal immigration thats proof walls dont work? lol wut?

walls do work homie. ask Israel, who reduced their illegal entry by 99% along their southern border immediately after the wall was built contrary to the popular belief the wall in ISrael was not solely to reduce terror attacks but illegal entry from Africa

So I looked at this land in 2003; off-water with a small house The HOA docs were recorded. OK. The HOA owned the lake, dam, streets and lots #1, #2 and #3 so a pool or other thing could be built DBT later.

I bought the little house and a lot on the lake. I was going to get the HOA to consider a gatehouse. I was then going to build a sweet big house and sell the little one, off-water house. Then the HOA did the dumbest thing I ever heard of.

I will donate 500 points to anyone who can answer correctly. Just post whatever you think is dumbest.

I will answer in an hour.

The private roads needed repair. The County could take over future road repairs if they were public. The roads were repaired at our expense. An extra annual donation of $600 each would have fixed the road. The members said "too much".

The cheap bastards; removed the gate, sold lots 1,2, and 3 to get enough money to pay for fixing the roads, then sold the roadbeds to the County for $1.

We now are on public streets and cannot post speed limits, put up a gate or ever build a community center because the HOA does not own any vacant land.

Burglaries are more common now; unheard of before.

Total fail tonight by Trump
This fool is slowly rebranding the wall into what it should be .. a technology driven barrier.
Sorry Trumpers you're never going to get your big beautiful 2000 mile 25 trillion dollar wall.
Whatever it becomes we will pay for it...not Mexico
He's going to lose this shut down to boot.

They just showed tape of every one of these dumb ass Democrats like Schumer and Feinstein and Obama and Clinton all saying on video between 06-10 that they were in favor of a wall or barrier on the border and they 100% were willing to fund it.

If Trump wasn't the one asking they would be fine with it. It amazes me how winning the politics is more important than the issue that needs attention and that they ALL agreed on before. Ignorance.

They know if the wall gets funded, Trump is re-elected

If it is not? Well they have a shot that he is not!

Your guy ran on a 2000 mile wall promise none of those other politicians ran or were elected making a unacheveable 25 trillion dollar promise.
Shuttering the government is all about winning .. This is going to be Trumps"Read my lips, No new taxes" moment. No way this gets funded meaning Trumps done.

removed typo

Next may come a 24 hour series on twitter of Angel moms who rotate 2 minutes at a W.H. office telling their sad stories, then blue star moms, then ...until the shutdown is over.

I'm making that tweet now as I have been doing every day since pre-shutdown.

He sure did.
When he loses the Rushes and Ann Coulters of the world he's cooked.
Coulter called trump visiting the wall "Moronic" yesterday.

The only people who want the wall in Trumps vision are his hardcore base, i think he's lost sight of all the cross over people who voted for him.

Right..Not in his 2000 mile vision.. He has no plan is also a big part of the problem.
How would the first 5.6 be spent? Your president should have at least a proposal to show the American public just how that money would be spent then this might have a shot with the public.
Tonight he started to sound like he's backing off the full wall just like he did Mexico paying for it and it being 35 feet tall and concrete.
With all the incredible surveillance technology available the wall is a stupid idea from a stupid man.

Dems had an agreement with the Dreamers included and the great deal maker backed out because Ann Coulter didn't like it.

Are we staying or leaving Syria this week?

Trump is a fumbling idiot.

In merely 23 days, the GoFundMe campaign is closing in on $20 million

It will soon be the most successful GoFundMe campaign ever ... the current record holder is the Timeís Up Legal Defense Fund for victims of sexual assault, which raised $22 million in 2018 over a much longer period of time. The campaign to build the wall should blow past that number in a few days.

It must be apples to oranges because the west africans trying to enter Israel are less advanced than mexicans, salvadoreans and guatemalans?
