Local politicians.

As the whole country knows, Alabama had George Wallace 55 years ago. We are still trying to wash the stink off.

There was a meeting of possible Republican candidates for the next election in 2009 just 3 miles from my house. I sat near the rear. There was a $35 donation but a great steak dinner. My wife was scratching her arms and this kind of chubby guy in an ill-fitting green suit sitting at our table. He said he was a Dermatologist, looked at her arms and said "Yes. You have poison ivy." He later became Governor, lost weight and got a better suit. Only local pol I know. Links here to look up what you need. Ask again if you want more.

Prosecutor Matt Hart has been fired by Steve Marshall

He was a particular thorn in the side of politicians who skirted the ethics laws. He prosecuted and earned a 12-count conviction of former GOP Speaker Mike Hubbard. He negotiated a guilty plea and resignation from former Gov. Robert Bentley. And his special grand jury in Jefferson County was digging through the scheme to undermine an EPA Superfund site.

Prosecutor Matt Hart has been fired by Steve Marshall

The Montgomery Advertiser asked the candidates for Alabama attorney general, Republican incumbent Steve Marshall and Democratic nominee Joe Siegelman, three questions about their policies and beliefs. Each was allowed to answer in their own words within a 150-word limit. Here are their responses.

Plenty to see. I really do not know the locals except that Dr. Bentley

If your sodium is getting below 125 that is a concern AK. I hope your not having to take a loop diuretic as that is the portion of the kidney that pulls out NA & K.

I wish you the best and Happy Thanksgiving my friend

Sodium is 129. Potassium is the center of the range. Some think that is ideal. CDC says 135. It may be a side effect of taking Lisinopril for Hypertension.

The governor has gone back to his day job.

I had heard rumors and wanted to see what you knew.

Hand picked by Trump to head the largest EPA region, w/o vetting?

Seems like more of the same

"...the EPA efforts to test and clean up soil in north Birmingham neighborhoods..."
Birmingham and most of Jefferson County are so corrupt the water/sewer dept. put it into bankruptcy. As a County DA, Jeff Sessions tried to fix his County 30-40 years ago. That is where all this BS came out from.

Yes, they really called the new concert/arena the BJ Convention Center. The BJCC – Birmingham, Alabama

Hey Bob, got Ice Storm yet?

There is a better test for Sodium levels than a blood test called a 24-hour urine study. That study showed Sodium to be at 134, better but not ideal.

I got tired of my VA doctor "giving a different hypertension med to test Sodium levels." I went to a real Cardiologist, Dr. Kevin Sublett of UAB. Say what you want about backward Alabama, but if you have a real health issue, the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) is:

UAB Hospital is again ranked the No. 1 hospital in Alabama by U.S. News & World Report. Four medical specialties are ranked in the top 20 in the nation, and six more are ranked in the top 50. Three other specialties are listed as “high-performing” in the 2018-2019 Best Hospitals rankings released today...

UAB - News - UAB Hospital again highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report

My Diltiazem was increased to 180MG. Hydralazine 10mg dropped and back to Lisinopril 10mg. An ACE inhibitor is a good all-around med for men in my study group. Some of the reasons are still unclear as to why ACE inhibitors work like they do but Asprin works and no one knew why for decades.
