Am I getting raped on this trade?
Non-PPR league with a flex. I have $650 a week in side bets (I'm up around $1100 because they're against bad teams) and my team is 2-2.
I've been going back and forth trying to work a trade out with a guy and this is what he's standing fairly firm on. I trade: Tony Romo Andre Johnson Larry Fitzgerald Mike Tolbert Antonio Gates for Arian Foster Brandon Marshall Mike Williams Michael Crabtree Jay Cutler Stafford is my QB, so Romo would only play for me on Stafford's bye. With this trade, my team would look like this: QB Matthew Stafford RB Arian Foster RB Beanie Wells RB Darren Sproles WR Brandon Marshall WR Mike Williams TE Jermaine Gresham Reserves: RB Stevan Ridley, RB Jonathan Stewart, RB Pierre Thomas, WR Denarius Moore, WR Robert Meachem, WR Michael Crabtree, QB Jay Cutler Am I giving up way too much? I really just want Foster and to not get killed in side bets while AJ and Gates are sidelined with injuries. Last edited by L'il G; 10-07-2011 at 03:52 AM. |

Don't think I would do it. You're giving up too much depth for basically Foster and Marshall.

No way do I do it. You are basically tading your entire team for Foster.

How did you let your Rb situation get so bad in a non PPR league. You really lucked out with Wells and Sproles so far. You drafted and built your team around pass catchers, then ran into some good fortune with your later round RB's producing early on. Roll with it. Why blow up 2 top Wr's a top TE and a 2nd tier QB for an upgrade at RB?
Try to ship Romo to the resident Cowboy lover for some RB depth. A buy low guy like Shonn Greene, and roll with what you got. |

I agree with the mall.
In essence you are upgrading at one position RB and trading away a position in WR since those two you have when healthy will outperform any duo you have at WR with the trade. Stick with what you have and as a sidenote, drop Thomas. He's not seeing the ball and if you have Sproles, Thomas is just a waste of a roster spot. You could probably find a player on waivers at RB or WR that will give you more production. |

Thanks for the input, mall. Once I slept on it and separated myself a bit from it, it looks pretty awful.
On a side note, the only reason I picked up Pierre Thomas was because the guy I'm playing this week only has one running back, so I wanted to block him from picking one up. I ended up trading Tony Romo, Robert Meachem, and Pierre Thomas for Cedric Benson, Mike Williams (TB), and Bernard Scott. |
