This ? answered my be worth huge $

Have rattled off 5 wins in a row in my high finance league to move into a tie for first.

Playing the other team tied for first who we currently hold the tie breaker against, so a win here may clear the way to the title

This is a hugely TD oriented leauge, very little performance points

2nd RB, Portis or Pierre Thomas ? who I think has scored in 4 or 5 games in a row. We have AP going against Detroit for 1st RB

Leaning hard towards Thomas since Portis is banged up and at Baltimore

Thoughts?

saints are at home, and the falcons defense has given up a lot of yards in the last month or so. with the exception of the chargers, who really just played like shit, falcons didnt stop them

Thomas, I think Ravens D has given up 3 rushing TD's and not a single 100 yd. rusher this year. Being a fellow Twin-Cities ite, I know Charch talks about Thomas and maybe Portis too in yesterday's Pioneer Press, not sure if ya read that or not.

Thanks Rjb and Hus

I just checked that out Mcallister. Thanks

Hard to bench Portis, but thinking it's probably the best move here

as banged up as Portis is, he practiced on Friday and he will start. Deuce's suspension has been stayed (for now), and with Bush healthy, leaves not enough opportunities for Thomas. While I do not think Portis is a great play this week, in this case he is better than Thomas.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

id go thomas, i think a lot more tds will be scored in that game, and odds are better that he gets a td. i think portis will be ok, but i can see a pile of punts in that game and a cooley play action td and a 13-10 type game. imo

Yup. Thomas has a better shot of getting a TD this week. If Bush becomes more active this week and Deuce is still in, with Portis playing the Ravens, you may be ****ed for TD's at RB2.

I'd play Thomas, though.

Well, after seeing what Addai and Indy managed against the Bungles, I'm nervous about just jumping right out and saying "Portis runs for 180 & 3 TD's". But Portis as a RB is much > Addai.

That being said, Adrian Peterson has proven that the Bears can be run on. Thomas is very much the main back right now while Bush isn't 100% and being used more as a receiver. This matchup defensively could be trouble, though. New Orleans can throw the ball much better, and Chicago can be thrown on. That may take down Thomas' value.

If I had to choose, this week, I'd play Portis. But wait until the absolute last minute to make sure he's healthy.

That, Id def go Portis BUT you obv have to know hes healthy enough. And as you said Gerk thats whats tough about a Thursday game with Thomas. Cause I highly doubt youll find any info on Portis by Thursday. Do you have another option for Sunday at back if Portis cant go? If you have a viable option then Id definetely go Portis. GL
