Darren McFadden- Fantasy Stud or Bust?

Drafted him in one of my leagues and think I am going to start him Sunday

Have heard some very mixed opinions on him

Is he a stud or bust?

The Associated Press reports Oakland Raiders rookie RB Darren McFadden finished the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 29, against the Seattle Seahawks with 50 yards rushing on four carries. He is going to begin the season as the team's No. 2 running back.

Analysis: As expected Justin Fargas will begin the season as the starting back in Oakland. This doesn't change our prediction that rookie McFadden will see plenty of work and end the season as the most productive Raider back.

P.S. I took Mcfadden number #1 in my rookie draft, hopefully he's a STUD!

I think he ends up the # 2 rookie RB (behind Stewart).

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Agree here. Wont bust or break out. Prob a solid back, esp with Oak's avg at best O. Solid year

I also took him late, but I'll probably wait a week or two to see how many carries he's going to get. Hopefully, he turns out to be a stud.

I think I remember people saying AP wouldn't get that many carries either with Chester Taylor there. I think we know how that one turned out.

True they are very different style runners...I just can't see Justin Fargas or Michael Bush taking carries from him too long.

he might split some carries, but remember, he is the #1 pick. He will get plenty of touches.

Peterson still did not get as many carries as I would like from my rb, esp early in the year, but he went NUTS with his opportunities which got him more carries and he continued to go NUTS!!!! I dont think you can expect McFadden to average over 5.5 yards per carry, and get 5 or 6 TD's over 50 yards like Peterson did. He average 17 carries a game, which is around what people expected (around 15 carries), he just made the most of those carries.

If Mcfadden gets those same amount of carries he'll get around 1000 yards, and who knows about the TD's. He will be solid but no superstar this year, unless Vargas goes down or just sucks.
