Draft position & success

Playing in 5 leagues this year (yes I know way to many)

In 3 drafts I had 2nd overall pick, 6th & 7th. I won my games in these leagues.

In 2 drafts I had 10th and 12th and lost every game in these leagues.

Cooincidence or just first week luck or are leagues decided at the time draft position is set.

Thoughts?

I think it was just a coincidence Dr. Jack. I went 3-0 this past week and my 12th and 10th rounders did better than my 2nd. Just bad luck for you more than likely?

Of course having a higher pick in the first round gets you a great player, and could be a huge difference maker. Last year i had P. Manning, and he kept me from loosing the league. The rest of my team suffered injuries and played horrible, and i had the #4 overall pick. Having higher picks plays a role, however when it comes right down to it every week is luck, because you never know who will have a big week or have a season ending injury.

If memory serves me correctly, you needed to gives umbrellas to a certain team so their "stud" RB could stay dry

I had the same problem and this week I get Jackson as my reward and can put the "stud" on the bench

I was 3rd and 12th. My 12th outperformed the 3rd, but who I played resulted in a 1-1.

I drafted 6th and took Andre Johnson and then in 2nd round I took Calvin Johnson. Both did jacksh*t but still went 2-0 in CM. Maybe you are on to something Jacko or maybe I am just that good? I am going to go with your theory I dont think I can expect 300 yards receiving from Forte every week lol

I agree to an extent. I think too championships are won on waiver wire pickups. Last year J. Charles, Miles Austin and Jerome Harrison. Especially Austin.
