Fantasy Baseball Draft Contest
Rules
A good draft is all about getting good value. You want players that will exceed expectations and avoid players that will fall short. Pick 1 player to "get" and 1 player to "avoid" for every position. (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, SP, RP) We are going to use the projected points from the CBS website. You will notice that only the Top 10 is listed for (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, RP) and Top 20 for (OF and SP). This keeps it to the elite players, not the deep sleepers. You must post your picks BEFORE the season starts. April 3rd is the last day for entries. How to post you picks C <---position Get - Player Name Avoid - Player Name Repeat for all positions How it will be scored So for example if Hanley Ramirez is projected to get 1600pts and he has 1700pts at the end of the season. That's a +100pts for someone who pick him as a "get" and -100pts for someone who picked him as a "avoid". Conversely, if Hanley Ramirez is projected to get 1600pts and he has 1500pts at the end of the season. That's a -100pts for someone who pick him as a "get" and +100pts for someone who picked him as a "avoid". I'll total all of the points....gets and avoids. The person with the most points wins! This will be scored at the All-star break AND at the end of the season. After thinking about it some more, I'm going to take out the changes at the All-Star break. Too many things can happen....players get injured, lose their starting jobs, get traded, etc.
Let's just keep it simple. You are stuck with the players you choose for the WHOLE season. Jack or Mod, please delete that section of the 1st post. Thanks.
