Fred Jackson

So what's his value now? Is he worth anything unless Lynch shoots someone?

i think he'll get a majority of the work until lynch gets back into game shape...after that it will probably be by committee

i think this is slowly the end of lynch's time in buff. lynch has been a headache since he entered the nfl and with jackson's performance to date they may be able to break away. lynch will be nothing more than a second option in buff unless jackson gets hurt.

Jackson controls his own destiny I think. If he continues to perform like he has in 1st 3 games, it will be just like past years but roles reversed. Jackson will be #1 back and Lynch filling behind him. But if Lynch also does well, he will probably get more touches then Jackson did in past years.

IMO money talks, so Lynch will get an even # of carries within a few weeks. Jackson's value plummets to that of a #3rb(maybe slightly higher than leon washington) because he will only touch the ball 12-15 times a game. Buffalo's o-line really needs to improve their play- 10 sacks in 3 games vs. some pretty craptastic defenses.

Jackson shows these same flashes last year, and still ended up with 130 less touches than Lynch.

take it with a grain of salt, just my opinion.

i should add this- a quote from the offensive mastermind Dickie Jauron:

"Going into the season, even in the offseason when we knew about Marshawn's suspension, I said, 'We've got to be careful with Fred because he's a really good player and we don't want to overload him.' He had a lot of touches and did a great job," Bills coach Dick Jauron said. "Now Marshawn's back and we'll take some of that load off and evenly distribute it because both those guys are good. It'll make us a better team."
