How'd I do?

Here be my squad for the season. We got to keep 4 from last year, then do the draft. 12 team league, straight draft w/o snake. I had the 10 hole...

Keepers for me were Manning, Addai, Wayne, Edwards. For the record not a huge Colts fans, rather I thought why not have the bases covered on a legit offensive squad...

We start - QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, & K - that's it. All TDs are 6 pts. and a +2 bonus for TDs over 40+yds. Yeah, I'll p/u a QB for a week on Peyton's bye... and if you thought I needed 2 kickers...

QB
P. Manning

RB
Addai
Forte
(D. Williams)
(J. Norwood)
(L. Washington)
(D Rhodes)

WR
R. Wayne
B. Edwards
S. Holmes
(R. Curry)
(D.J. Hackett)
(E. Royal)
(J. Gage)
(L. Sweed)

K
J. Brown

Laugh, cheer or boo...lemme know much obliged

Solid squad. My only concern is you have the Colts whole team and a couple bad weeks by the team, could set you back. As I Bears fan, I like Forte, but Kevin Jones looked just as good. GL this season.

Thanks walk. Yes, the 3 headed Colt monster is a concern, but I do like hitting it both ways with Manning to Wayne and the Colts rarely fail to have a decent offensive showing. Also, w/Manning & Addai... I hit it if its ground or air....

Unconventional...absolutely. Kinda dumb....could be. However, since I built my 3 headed monsta, several other teams have followed suit w/a QB,RB,WR combo on the same team - (Dallas & NO). I think the key here is to have a top notch offense, w/a good mix of run/pass and good offensive line. Or maybe we're just plain nuts....ha ha....

Anyway - thanks for well wishes, walk! BOL to you and the Chi-Bears this year

Nice squad, but why didn't you just draft a backup QB (insurance policy if Peyton gets hurt) instead of picking up Sweed or Gage or something?

Much obliged, Chucker.

You too, W Coast. I appreciate it. To answer your question, I guess I'm really just rollin' the dice a bit....banking on no.18's durability. I know that the bursa sac injury is there, but I think he'll be fine. He's yet to miss a game in his career...plus I'd never start another QB over PM. In addition, in not drafting another QB, I was able to get some RB, WR depth. For the bye week, I'll just take a chance on a waiver wire guy w/a decent matchup.

Thanks for the comments & BOL in your respective leagues!

So basically then, the week Manning is on a bye, you'd just drop one of your WRs or RBs and pick up a QB?

Just asking because this other league I'm in, I may end up having to do things like this. I'm used to having a backup for every position, including kicker and TE and D/ST over in the 12 man league, but the 8 man league I'm in only allowed 3 bench players.

Sho' nuff. Hopefully I'll have a decent gauge by week 4 (Colts bye) as to which bench player to dump. After the bye is over, I'll just dump the 1 week QB and p/u a waiver wire RB/WR again.

That's how I roll
