Joe Webb
I'm in a yahoo league and I'm in the 2nd round of the playoffs. My WR's on this team are subpar to say the least. We start 3 Wideouts in this league. My #1 is Desean and my others are harvin, amendola, and smith(CAR).I picked up Webb this week to start at WR and I guess the other owner is bitching because I'm starting a QB in the WR spot.Any thoughts on this situation ? My main sticking point is the guy who has woodhead has started him at WR and nothing was said all year and he has taken 90+% of his snaps at RB.

Its the fantasy baseball rule in effect, nobody said a word to me for starting CJ Wilson at RP all year last year. Its a quirk, but completely within the rules IMO

It's fair. You don't know when or if the Vikings run the wildcat and he has a 60yd TD reception. He's mad he wasn't quick enough to get him.

Agree with all the others. Heard a key player in the fantasy industry talking about this on the radio today. He didn't seem to think it was an issue actually encouraged people who lacked solid WR's that it might be worth taking a shot on Joe Webb.
Send you opponent the box score for Vikings last week (a game in a dome) and the weather report for Monday night. Then tell him to shut the **** up and deal with it! |

Nothing wrong with playing Webb at WR if he has eligibility there in your league.
You were smart to pick him up. If your opponent wants to bitch, tell him to write into Yahoo and cry to them for giving a player a dual eligibility that could potentially upset the balance of the game during the fantasy play offs. There is no guarantee that Webb is going to be successful; however, you have to like the idea of your starting WR touching the ball on every play. |

the guy is a QB and not a WR. While I understand someone using him as a WR if they can, that's really only because Yahoo has screwed up. While it may be within your league's rules, I think it defeats the spirit of fantasy football. In my Sportsline league he is only listed as a QB (rightfully so). But if he wasn't, I would not use him at WR.

Who are you? Seal? Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man? Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright? |

I Agree with Keith. Anyways, the Bears are most likely going to destroy him so using him is an extremely risky move at this time in the season.
