Matchup rankings

Sorry, its a long post guys but here are the rankings from a certain sports website, with a special section you have to pay extra for:

Here are my revised lineup rankings for Week 14. All changes are official as of Sunday, December 9, at 9 a.m. ET and reflect all the latest injury and lineup news, plus any other recent trends.

Week 14 Quarterback Rankings
RANK Name Team Opponent
1 Peyton Manning Colts @BAL
2 Tony Romo Cowboys @DET
3 Carson Palmer Bengals STL
4 Derek Anderson Browns @NYJ
5 Tom Brady Patriots PIT
6 Drew Brees Saints @ATL
7 Matt Hasselbeck Seahawks ARI
8 David Garrard Jaguars CAR
9 Brett Favre Packers OAK
10 Ben Roethlisberger Steelers @NE
11 Kurt Warner Cardinals @SEA
12 Jay Cutler Broncos KC
13 Jon Kitna Lions DAL
14 Vince Young Titans SD
15 Tarvaris Jackson Vikings @SF
16 Kellen Clemens Jets CLE
17 Philip Rivers Chargers @TEN
18 Eli Manning Giants @PHI
19 Jeff Garcia Buccaneers @HOU
20 Donovan McNabb Eagles NYG
21 Chris Redman Falcons NO
22 Kyle Boller Ravens IND
23 Brock Berlin Rams CIN
24 Sage Rosenfels Texans TB
25 Trent Dilfer 49ers MIN

MOVING: Warner could be without one or both of his top wide receivers against the Seahawks, making him a much less attractive option without his best playmakers. Marc Bulger is off the list, as he is not expected to play. Brock Berlin is in line to start against Cincinnati, and while the Bengals may not know enough about him to prepare for him properly, Berlin is making his first-ever NFL start and is too much of an unknown to be used. It's only worth exploiting a matchup is you have a proven, quality player to do so. Clemens appears to have a good matchup against Cleveland, but Laveranues Coles is iffy and Clemens could also struggle if pressed to play from behind. Jeff Garcia may be a game-time decision, and his top receiver, Joey Galloway, is now listed as questionable with a toe injury. Redman is a very risky start even though the matchup against New Orleans looks good. With time to prepare to face him, the Saints will limit the production of the latest Atlanta fill-in quarterback. Redman looked good in relief last week and knows Bobby Petrino's system, but he is still a journeyman type who is way too risky to use if you are in your fantasy playoffs.

Week 14 Running Back Rankings

46 Samkon Gado Dolphins @BUF
47 Correll Buckhalter Eagles NYG
48 DeDe Dorsey Bengals STL
49 Adimchinobi Echemandu Texans TB
50 Lorenzo Booker Dolphins @BUF

MOVING: Albert Haynesworth is questionable because of a hamstring problem. If he misses the game against San Diego, there will not be a better starter than Tomlinson at running back this week. Steven Jackson will face some extra defensive attention with Bulger out, and while he should still play well overall, he drops five spots with the Bengals likely to key him often with Berlin at quarterback. Barber will score more than once against the Lions, and I like him better than Parker, who has started to slip statistically and has the obvious tough matchup against the Patriots. The Chiefs are expected to be without starting tackle Damion McIntosh, but I still like Kolby Smith against the Broncos. Aaron Stecker will start in place of the injured Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas (bruised kidney) is expected to play and has more upside than Stecker. I would not be surprised to see Thomas outplay Stecker if Thomas is close to full form. Even if Marshawn Lynch can play, he may share a healthy amount of touches with Fred Jackson. Jesse Chatman told the Miami Herald he will play, but he remains a very risky start as he tries to work through an ankle problem in adverse weather conditions on the road. Ahman Green is now on injured reserve and off the list, but I am still not expecting an outstanding performance from Ron Dayne against Tampa Bay.

Week 14 Wide Receiver Rankings
RANK Name Team Opponent
1 Terrell Owens Cowboys @DET
2 Braylon Edwards Browns @NYJ

4 Reggie Wayne Colts @BAL

42 Javon Walker Broncos KC
43 Justin McCareins Jets CLE
44 Brad Smith Jets CLE
45 Arnaz Battle 49ers MIN
46 Donte' Stallworth Patriots PIT
47 Sean Morey Cardinals SEA
48 Chris Chambers Chargers @TEN
49 Jerry Porter Raiders @GB
50 Anquan Boldin Cardinals @SEA

MOVING: With Berlin at quarterback, Holt is no longer an elite starter for this week, but it's still hard to bench him as Berlin knows Holt is his best playmaker. Isaac Bruce also becomes less of a good sneaky play this week. Galloway is questionable and with Garcia also looking iffy, the Tampa Bay passing game will be much less effective, even with a seemingly friendly matchup against the Texans. Andre Johnson also slips a few spots without Matt Schaub this week. He could still be dangerous, though, if the Tampa Bay defense spends too much time on the field. Coles will likely be a game-time decision, but we have seen him tough it out before and he will be worth using if he plays. Bryant Johnson is looking like a good start in many leagues, while Calvin Johnson should be targeted more often with Roy Williams out. Expect increased production from Mike Furrey as well. Evans will be mostly a non-factor as Trent Edwards struggles to move the ball in challenging weather conditions. Santonio Holmes appears ready to go, but Ward will be Ben Roethlisberger's top guy again this week. Brandon Stokley (knee, questionable) may be able to play, but his production could be limited. Jay Cutler will likely lean heavily on Brandon Marshall. Marvin Harrison is expected to be out again, so don't hesitate to gamble on Anthony Gonzalez. Arnaz Battle is questionable with an ankle problem. Sean Morey is strictly a desperation play if both Fitzgerald and Boldin cannot play.

Week 14 Tight End Rankings
RANK Name Team Opponent
1 Kellen Winslow Browns @NYJ
2 Jason Witten Cowboys @DET
3 Antonio Gates Chargers @TEN
4 Dallas Clark Colts @BAL
5 Tony Gonzalez Chiefs @DEN
6 Jeremy Shockey Giants @PHI
7 Owen Daniels Texans TB
8 Benjamin Watson Patriots PIT
9 Vernon Davis 49ers MIN
10 Heath Miller Steelers @NE
11 Donald Lee Packers OAK
12 Tony Scheffler Broncos KC
13 Leonard Pope Cardinals @SEA
14 Marcedes Lewis Jaguars CAR
15 L.J. Smith Eagles NYG
16 Alge Crumpler Falcons NO
17 Jeff King Panthers @JAC
18 Chris Baker Jets CLE
19 Randy McMichael Rams @CIN
20 Visanthe Shiancoe Vikings @SF
21 Ben Utecht Colts @BAL
22 Todd Heap Ravens IND
23 Bo Scaife Titans SD
24 Eric Johnson Saints @ATL
25 Zach Miller Raiders @GB

MOVING: The Chargers will run the ball a lot this week, so Gates gets just a slight drop. Gonzalez would rank higher if Brodie Croyle was not starting. Shockey has an abdominal strain, but he is listed as probable. Lee looks to be in for a quiet outing against the Raiders. Green Bay will need him to block often in the running game. Daniels should be a good safety receiver for Sage Rosenfels. McMichael gets the obvious drop with Berlin starting. Heap could miss another game because of a hamstring problem.

Week 14 Kicker Rankings
RANK Name Team Opponent
1 Mason Crosby Packers OAK
2 Nick Folk Cowboys @DET
3 Kris Brown Texans TB
4 Jeff Reed Steelers @NE
5 Rob Bironas Titans SD
6 Stephen Gostkowski Patriots PIT
7 Josh Brown Seahawks ARI
8 Mike Nugent Jets CLE
9 Phil Dawson Browns @NYJ
10 Jason Elam Broncos KC
11 Shayne Graham Bengals STL
12 Neil Rackers Cardinals @SEA
13 Sebastian Janikowski Raiders @GB
14 Josh Scobee Jaguars CAR
15 Jason Hanson Lions DAL
16 Adam Vinatieri Colts @BAL
17 Matt Stover Ravens IND
18 Ryan Longwell Vikings @SF
19 David Akers Eagles NYG
20 Nate Kaeding Chargers @TEN
21 Rian Lindell Bills MIA
22 Lawrence Tynes Giants @PHI
23 John Kasay Panthers @JAC
24 Matt Bryant Buccaneers @HOU
25 Jeff Wilkins Rams @CIN

MOVING: I am expecting mostly touchdowns instead of field goals from Cincinnati, so Graham drops four spots. Nugent should provide a healthy portion of the Jets' offense against Cleveland. Lindell gets a major drop out of the top 12, as Buffalo will have a lot of trouble moving the ball today. Kaeding also falls, as I am expecting Tomlinson touchdowns over field-goal attempts for San Diego. Wilkins falls near the bottom of the list with Berlin guiding the St. Louis offense. Berlin could be decent, but he's an unknown, and that makes Wilkins and all other associated Rams more risky.

Week 14 Defense/Special Teams Rankings
RANK Name Team Opponent
1 Green Bay Packers OAK
2 Minnesota Vikings @SF
3 Jacksonville Jaguars CAR
4 Dallas Cowboys @DET
5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers @HOU
6 New York Giants @PHI
7 New England Patriots PIT
8 Indianapolis Colts @BAL
9 New Orleans Saints @ATL
10 Seattle Seahawks ARI
11 Buffalo Bills MIA
12 San Diego Chargers @TEN
13 Denver Broncos KC
14 Philadelphia Eagles NYG
15 Tennessee Titans SD
16 Arizona Cardinals @SEA
17 Pittsburgh Steelers @NE
18 Kansas City Chiefs @DEN
19 Baltimore Ravens IND
20 Carolina Panthers @JAC
21 Houston Texans TB
22 San Francisco 49ers MIN
23 Miami Dolphins @BUF
24 Cincinnati Bengals STL
25 Cleveland Browns @NYJ
26 Oakland Raiders @GB
27 New York. Jets CLE
28 Atlanta Falcons NO
29 St. Louis Rams @CIN
30 Detroit Lions DAL

MOVING: The Tampa Bay defense gets moved down two spots, because it will have to spend more time on the field and work harder if the passing game is limited. New Orleans is a good sleeper pick with Redman quarterbacking the Falcons. Shawne Merriman is questionable because of a calf injury, so San Diego slips to 12th, while Haynesworth's uncertain status makes the Titans defense more of a gamble. Seattle is looking better against a depleted Arizona receiving corps. The Texans and Bengals have moved up, but are still not quality units even as they face teams with offensive injury concerns.
