My 2nd team

In another league, not nearly as much of a buy-in ($30)

8 team league with one guy who couldn't possibly care less (lol) so his entire team is made up of Denver Broncos. This basically ended up being a 7 man league as far as drafting went, which is obvious when you see my team

I picked 8/8.

Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST

QB- Caron Palmer

RB1- Steven Jackson
RB2- Marshawn Lynch

WR1- Reggie Wayne
WR2- Anquan Boldin

Flex- Jamal Lewis

TE- Kellen Winslow

Defense- Dallas

K- Nick Folk

Bench- Steve Smith (CAR), Edgerrin James, Marc Bulger.

Steve Smith will most likely be my flex player after the suspension, but we'll see.

Obviously you can see I wasn't drafting with the brightest guys when Jackson slipped all the way to 8.

The Broncos guy obviously in it to more for fun, despite wasting his $$$.

Another guy wasn't around and had to do a best available player thing.

nice. Always been in a 12 team league. Your team is like an All-Star team in my league. LOL

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

It's like completely opposite ends of the earth for me with the 2 leagues I'm in.

First time I've ever been in this league (8 team league)

Other league I'm in is 12 teams with 19, yeah, 19 rounds. We over-draft in that one, so this was like a cakewalk.

No I like him, might even end up benching Boldin and putting Smith as my 2nd wide out and leaving Lewis at flex.

Just depends on what happens with Boldin and the Cardinals, but it looks like he's staying now.

My dream would have been for him to go to Eagles or Cowboys. I'd start him every week then.

Yeah, Phil (Boldin) - that would sure help my QB - McNabb...

Yeah Philly is ideal because he'd be the go-to guy.

LOL thanks man, I hope so.

I was wondering if it was a few guys first times drafting the way this thing went. Steven Jackson falling to 8th was hilarious!

Alright can someone answer me something real quick.

From my thread before you see that I'm in a really deep 12 team league. I carry 3 QBs in that league, 5 RBs, 5 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 Ks, and 2 DSTs.

Now I come to this league where there are only 3 backups allowed, so I drafted a backup for each of the most important positions (IMO) which were RB, WR, and QB.

Now when Winslow has a bye week, this would basically mean I'd have to drop him (unless my QB has already had his bye week in which case I could just drop Bulger and add another tight end without dropping Winslow).

If this isn't the case though, should I still release Bulger and risk getting an even worse 1 week backup, or do I drop Winslow and risk not being able to get him back?

I think I have my answer, but I just want to make sure.

I also have no idea how these guys decide waiver wire. It might just be first come first serve, just FYI.

nice team wco

i wouldn't drop winslow at all....actually i don't think i'd drop bulger either. bulger/palmer combo would be pretty nice...you could play the matchups. if you think you'd start palmer every week then maybe you could drop bulger but you'll probably get stuck with a 2nd rate QB for the BYE week.

i personally would probably just take the zero for that week. according to my leagues scoring winslow average 7.25 pts a week. is missing 7 pts really going to kill you? the difference between bulger and whoever you would get would be more than 7pts...JMO...gl

That is kind of along the lines of what I was thinking.

I'm not too big on leagues like this, but I'll roll with it.

Will probably end up dropping Bulger because I'll most likely play Palmer every week.

Even if I don't, I haven't yet seen all the free agents, but I'm sure there are 1 or 2 that are somewhat close to Bulger. The drop off of top tight ends is more drastic than it would be for a backup QB.

Thanks for the input man.
