My Yahoo Public league

I normally don't draft public leagues but figured I'd do it just to get some practice before one of my money leagues draft this weekend that uses yahoo default scoring. What do you guys think?

Had the 5th pick in a 10 team league. Rounds are in paranthesis.

QB-Romo (3)
RB-Michael Turner (1)
RB-Rashard Mendenhall (2)
WR-B. Berrian (9) think I got real good value here with the Rice injury
WR. Hakeem Nicks (6)
WR-Pierre Garcon (5)
TE-Witten (7)
K-Mason Crosby (12)
Def-Minnesota (8)

Bench
Jahvid Best (4) kinda high I know but I think highly of him
Johnny Knox (10)
Lee Evans (11)
Santonio Holmes (13) another good value pick I think
Laurent Robinson (14)
Jerome Harrison (15) will probably drop at some point in thenext few days

Overall...I like my team but realize that I could upgrade my WRs

Liking the team. Could have went WR earlier, but even though you chose not to, still think you got some really good depth at the position and awesome value as well. Overall Id give it a B. Truthfully I am not as worried about the WRs as you are because I think between Berrian, Nicks, Knox, and Holmes coming back week 4, one of those will emerge to be a steal. Key to your team will be Turner staying healthy, might want to think about a handcuff there.

Can't waste a 4th pick on a player who won't be starting for you.

Why not ? If he was the best player available then you take him and let the rest sort itself out later. You dont pick a lesser talent because that player "will start". Odds are you can probably grab that lesser player a few rounds later anyways when grabbing Best a few rounds later is a pipe dream.

This is a solid looking team IMO...why will you drop Harrison, any new news?

i disagree. you should always fill your starting roster before picking backups. he should have picked the best available WR in that spot. crabtree, both smiths, etc may have been available in the 4th and would have given him a better lineup

Thanks for you input guys. I'd agree, Best in the 4th was a reach but I do think I got some good receivers afterwards. As for thr WR's that were left there wa Welker, both Smiths, and Crabtree. Theone thing I will say is that the 1st 4 rounds saw ALOT of RB's off theboard.

And as for Harrisson in Cleveland I don{t think he's gonna be much a full time player with Hardesty coming around again and probably getting alot of the Goal line looks.
