O man...Start Phillys D Next Week?

I'm really debating this one and it's only Tuesday.

Philly is playing New Orleans and has no McNabb (Defense will be on the Field a lot).

I picked up Denver on Waivers because they play the Browns next week...

what to do....

I have the same problem. I drafted the Iggles D and they got me 29 points last week, and pretty much won me my week 1 match-up. I had the same concern.

But, here's the thing. While they may not be an elite defense, they are very close (for fantasy purposes). DeSean Jackson remains a threat to return every punt or kick-off for a TD (I assume your defense also includes special teams). If I was going to pick up a defense, I would grab the 49'ers. They played well last week (and since Singletary took over), they face the Seahawks at home this week, and looking not that far ahead, when the Eagles have their bye in week 4, the 49'ers get the Rams.

I would start the Eagles. But if you are picking up another defense, I would grab the 49'ers.

But of course, I would ignore mine and everyone else's advice, and hope that cryin' Ryan is willing to impart his wisdom upon you

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Maybe not "THE" best, but top 3 or 4 for sure. And I agree Seanie. I don't give a chit if the Saints put up 100 last week. It was the Lions. Not saying the Eagles do to Brees what they did last week, but they will perform. I did however grab the 49'ers defense off of waivers, as in week 4 Philly has their bye and the Niners get the Lambs at home that week

Brees will use the hell out of the TE Shockey as the Iggle LBs r weak on coverage. There will be alot of 3step drops to negate the rush and Brees will get his points.Iggle ST is unreal and always has a chance to get a return with Jackson Hobbs or Demps and I think Akers will have alot of work. All that being said I think this is alot inbetween the 20s and hopefully just alot of fgs.

Start the Eagles D, without Mcnabb the Eagles need to have more ball control offense and keep teh Saints off the field. Without Mcnabb I think they try to avoid a shoot out. If they have success at running the ball the D may not be on the field as much as you think. They could very easily get a few turnovers as well.
