Play the matchups or just start the better option?

I have NYG def and Was def.

Do I bench a top defense just because they're facing a good offense and Was is facing the Rams?

Or should I always start NYG since they are the better unit?

I think match-up is better in this situation...Rams offense is pathetic...NYG are a number 1 DEF and should be started every week but this week might a little tougher than usual....I lean towards WAS...

I would lean Washington too. They are still a good D and are at home to a weak offense.

i dont think the giants are a must start every week, there are only a couple like steelers. i'd lean redskins

you said it yourself. The Giants are a "top defense". You probably got them fairly early once the defenses started to come off the board. I don't think the Cowboys offense is all that special, so why play a lesser defense simply because they have a crappy opponent ? Fact is, Skins have always been a good "real life" defense, but only a so-so fantasy defense.
